Position

Summary

The Human Resources Business Partner plays a key role in the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources function across a multi-entity organization. Reporting to the Director, Human Resources & Payroll, this position serves as a lead resource for a broad range of HR activities, including HR administration, employee lifecycle support, coordination of HR processes and initiatives, employee relations, and training and compliance.

The HR Business Partner works closely with HR, payroll, and benefit team members, employees, managers, and other internal stakeholders to ensure HR matters are handled consistently, professionally, and efficiently.

Essential Duties &

Responsibilities

HR Operations & Administration

  • Serve as a lead resource for day-to-day HR operations across multiple legal entities and employee populations.
  • Coordinate and oversee recurring HR processes, ensuring activities are completed accurately, consistently, and within established timelines.
  • Support employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, employment changes, transfers, promotions, leaves of absence, and separations.
  • Prepare and maintain HR documentation, correspondence, employment records, forms, and other employee-related materials.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate employee information within HR systems and personnel records.
  • Respond to employee and manager questions regarding HR policies, procedures, programs, and general employment matters.
  • Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, documentation, communication, and overall operational efficiency.
  • Provide functional guidance and work direction to designated dotted-line HR team members, including coordinating workflow and monitoring completion of assigned responsibilities.

Employee Relations

  • Support the Human Resources Business Partner and Director, Human Resources & Payroll with employee relations matters, including employee concerns, workplace issues, performance matters, attendance, and policy-related situations.
  • Serve as an accessible HR resource for employees and managers, helping address questions and concerns in a professional, timely, and consistent manner.
  • Assist with gathering information, documenting employee relations matters, and coordinating appropriate follow-up.
  • Partner with managers on routine employee matters and escalate complex or sensitive issues to the Director, Human Resources & Payroll as appropriate.
  • Support performance management processes, including documentation, coaching discussions, corrective action, and related administrative requirements.
  • Maintain appropriate confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive employee and organizational information.

Training & Compliance

  • Support the administration and coordination of required employee and manager training programs.
  • Monitor completion of mandatory training and assist with follow-up to help ensure compliance with organizational requirements.
  • Assist with communicating HR policies, procedures, and compliance requirements to employees and managers.
  • Support routine reviews and updates of employee handbooks, HR policies, forms, notices, and related materials.
  • Assist with frequent HR audits, recordkeeping requirements, and other compliance-related initiatives.
  • Stay informed of relevant employment law and HR compliance developments and raise potential areas of concern to HR leadership.

HR Programs & Organizational Support

  • Support the implementation and ongoing administration of HR programs, policies, systems, and departmental initiatives.
  • Coordinate with Payroll, Benefits, Recruiting, IT, Finance, Operations, and other departments on matters that cross functional areas.
  • Assist with HR system implementations, process changes, and other projects designed to improve the employee experience or HR operations.
  • Compile and review HR information, reports, and data to support departmental planning and decision-making.
  • Assist with employee communications and company-wide HR initiatives.
  • Participate in special projects and other HR responsibilities as assigned by the Director, Human Resources & Payroll.
