You may also view the full position description on the Agency intranet at the following link: PD Search Serves as a recognized technical authority and expert in the Disability Information Systems (DIS) in the planning, analysis, requirements, testing and validation of programmatic, management information (MI) and administrative systems.
As an agency expert in an assigned area, provides technical support for the planning, system analysis, requirements, testing and validation activities for major programmatic, MI and administrative systems.
Assumes full technical responsibility for the formulation, coordination and development of special studies, projects or research work regarding DIS systems requirements.
Provides authoritative advice and services to key SSA management officials and others on unique or particularly complex systems problems and issues. Provides technical direction and guidance to other IT Specialists.
Provides guidance in the effort to create and translate broad functional requirements into detailed logic and programming activities in the assigned area of responsibility.
Provides requirements expertise at technical discussions and negotiations with other agency components whose work interfaces with or impacts on systems operations or processes in the incumbent's area of responsibility.
Develops, implements, evaluates and improves processes and procedures to monitor the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of the project/workload.
