Java Engineer
Job description
Maybe you’re bored and need a new challenge. Or you’re sick of all the bureaucracy and just want to focus on building kick-ass software. Or maybe you are looking for a job where you can do really great work from anywhere.
Whatever the reason, we want you to know that LT is different. And not just air quotes “different,” but more like “breathing easy for the first time in a long time” different.
It’s a place where you can write your own story and make a difference along the way. At LT, you’ll have the freedom and flexibility to do what you think needs to be done, and you’ll get to do it while working alongside a team of other curious individuals who love a good challenge too.
We’re currently looking to add a Java Engineer to this nerd club of ours. If you’re someone who has 3-5 or so years of experience, we’d love to chat.
Here’s what you can expect as a Java Engineer at LT:
- You’ll join forces with 3-5 other team members to deliver high-quality, low-maintenance software solutions that help organizations cement their place in the digital economy.
- You’ll help coach and guide client teams on the best approaches to modern software development in order to create scalable and maintainable applications.
- You’ll use test-driven development practices to help write high-quality code.
- You’ll continue to refine your craft and grow your skills through ongoing training, personal development and other learning opportunities that help you reach your goals.

At the heart of Lean TECHniques is a culture meticulously built by a team of seasoned technologists, creative problem-solvers, and community builders who are driven by the belief that there is always more to learn and new ways to improve. This is a company that swaps ego for empathy, committing to set its clients up for sustained success. The mission from the very beginning has been to help individuals and organizations thrive. This journey started in the early 2000s, pioneering new ways of working with Agile within IT organizations, and that focus remains central to their identity as a leading technology and management consultancy today. The team at Lean TECHniques advocates for a learning culture, not just internally but for every organization they partner with. They believe in getting started, experimenting, learning, adapting, and continuously moving forward in an ever-changing world. It's about joining forces with clients to accelerate their learning, embrace change, and ultimately deliver greater value to their customers. The work environment at Lean TECHniques is designed to empower its people, fostering a culture that prioritizes autonomy and flexibility. They understand that the soul of a thriving workplace is its empowered individuals. Team members are given the latitude they need to do their best work and make a real impact, because when the team is set up for success, so are the clients. This philosophy translates into a 'no company BS' policy, where transparency is key, and everyone is in the know on everything, including the company's financials. They challenge the status quo, seeking out knowledge and embracing experimentation, believing that innovation is unleashed when conventional thinking is questioned. Community is an integral part of their identity; having gotten their start within the Agile community, they continue to give back. Team members are actively encouraged to learn from and contribute to their local communities and the broader tech landscape.
