Immediate need for a talented Lab Operations Specialist - III. This is a 06+ Months Contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Foster City, CA (Hybrid). Please review the job description below and contact me ASAP if you are interested.

Key

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational leadership and issue resolution support in laboratory settings.
  • Lead cross-functional projects such as laboratory moves, infrastructure improvements, and equipment relocations.
  • Manage laboratory assets through planning, procurement, installation, maintenance, and decommissioning activities.
  • Coordinate with Facilities, Procurement, IT, Environmental Health and Safety, Finance, scientists, and external vendors.
  • Support operational budgets, purchase orders, invoice management, and project financial tracking.
  • Monitor operational performance, identify risks, and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop and maintain operational metrics, dashboards, and project plans to improve visibility and execution.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce non-scientific work and improve service delivery.
Key Requirements and Technology Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting laboratory operations, technical operations, project management, or research environments.
  • Proven ability to independently lead complex initiatives and influence stakeholders.
  • Experience with laboratory infrastructure projects, equipment lifecycle management, and vendor management is preferred.
  • Familiarity with biotechnology or pharmaceutical laboratory environments is a plus.
