$175000 - $225000 Lead DevOps Engineer A global leader in credit intelligence, data, and analytics is seeking a growth-minded Lead DevOps Engineer to join their team to help drive business and culture. This full-time role is a remote or hybrid opportunity, with their Chicago office located downtown. As a Lead DevOps Engineer, you will drive the strategy, implementation, and continuous improvement of DevOps practices and cloud infrastructure. Leading a team of DevOps engineers, you will partner closely with software developers, data engineers, SREs, security, and IT teams to automate processes, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of technology platforms. Required Skills & Experience + 7+ years of experience in a DevOps position, with 2+ years in a leadership role + Deep expertise in cloud platforms and services (EC2, S3, RDS, A/ELB, EBS, VPC, Route53) + Experience troubleshooting incidents, conducting root cause analysis, and documenting findings + Solid understanding of database management, configuration, and troubleshooting + Expertise in security best practices and implementing effective security controls Desired Skills & Experience + Familiarity working in AWS cloud environment and optimization abilities in regard to scaling, performance, and cost-effectiveness What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown + Clusters/containerization: Kubernetes, Docker + IaC: Terraform, SaltStack + CI/CD: Jenkins, GitHub Actions + Monitoring/Observability: Datadog, Cloud Watch + OS : Linux Daily Responsibilities + Direct and support a team of DevOps engineers, offering mentorship and hands-on technical leadership + Implement and support automated CI/CD pipelines to improve software delivery efficiency and reliability + Cross-collaboration with Site Reliability Engineers to ensure the continued development and maintenance of monitoring and alerting systems + Partner with Security teams to implement and uphold security best practices across infrastructure and applications + Support the planning, testing, and execution of disaster recovery and business continuity initiatives + Provide clear and timely communication to stakeholders on project progress, risks, issues, and recommendations The Offer This position is bonus eligible.
