Reporting to the Head of Legal, this role offers the opportunity to work across a broad spectrum of legal areas, from complex commercial contracting to regulatory compliance and product-related projects.

The Legal Counsel will manage and prioritize a diverse portfolio of projects, balancing speed and precision as needed. Responsibilities include drafting and negotiating customer, partner, and vendor contracts; establishing scalable contracting processes; leading regulatory and compliance initiatives; tracking evolving laws; and delivering training to ensure company-wide compliance. Ideal candidates will have a Juris Doctor (JD) from a top law school, admission to practice in New York (or eligibility to waive in), and 2–5 years of legal experience at a leading firm. Strong legal drafting, research, and communication skills are essential, along with the ability to distill complex regulations and partner effectively with Sales and Finance. A startup mindset, sense of ownership, and enthusiasm for fast-paced, high-impact work are key.

This is an opportunity to help shape the legal foundation of a well-funded, mission-driven company, working in person at EliseAI’s New York City headquarters. Join a team committed to building transformative solutions for industries that matter most.
