Job description

Make an Impact

We're looking for a Legal Operations Coordinator to join our Legal Operations function in the Salt Lake City area supporting our corporate, funds, and real estate legal team. This position is a strong opportunity for someone early in their Legal Operations career to build broad expertise, reporting to the VP of Legal Operations. This role executes on and supports the improvement of document and data management workflows, technology and AI-driven initiatives, outside counsel management, and legal billing and reporting processes. With AI at the forefront of much of the work we do, this role will also contribute directly to the modernization of how the legal team operates and is ideal for someone who actively experiments with AI tools.

What You'll Do

  • Outside Counsel Management: Support the VP of Legal Operations in day-to-day management of outside counsel relationships, including maintaining the company’s counsel list and tracking negotiated discounts and rates.
  • Billing & Reporting Support: Process invoices through the e-billing system, reviewing for accuracy and flagging discrepancies before approval; partner closely with Accounting to ensure legal fees are properly allocated across internal entities and business lines; assist with the compilation of legal spend reports.
  • AI & Technology Support: Assist with AI-driven projects aimed at streamlining legal workflows, from research to implementation support; create and maintain legal technology and AI training materials.
  • Workflow & Contract Management: Manage contracting workflows; monitor and triage department inboxes, applying sound judgment to route and track requests; run contracts through AI agents and playbooks under direction of attorneys; support the management and improvement of systems and processes to maintain assigned legal workflows.
  • Knowledge & Document Management: Maintain reference materials and document repositories, including updating document templates, drafting standard operating procedures; manage document execution logistics, including e-signatures and file organization; manage file management system permissions.
  • Regulatory Support: Support attorneys with logistics and tracking registrations of fund and business entities in foreign countries.

What You Should Bring

  • 1-3 years of experience in an in-house legal department or law firm in a legal operations, paralegal, or legal administrative/finance support role — candidates early in their careers are encouraged to apply.
  • Genuine interest in AI tools and process improvement, with experience using AI in a personal or professional capacity (experience with GC AI, Harvey, or Legora is a big plus).
  • Ability to take a problem and run with it, applying genuine curiosity and practical judgment to make reasonable calls with sometimes imperfect information, while seeking guidance when required and escalating things that genuinely need escalating.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills — this role coordinates across Legal, Accounting, and outside counsel.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a high volume of recurring tasks and deadlines.
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly with invoices, billing allocations, and compliance tracking.
  • Sound judgment handling confidential and sensitive information.

What you can be part of

Our legal team, based in the Salt Lake City area, includes attorneys, paralegals, and operations staff supporting Bridge's real estate and credit fund platforms. While we partner with top law firms, we handle much of our fund and corporate legal work in-house, which keeps us closely involved in the details and lets us move quickly for our internal teams, investors, and fund entities. This role touches a wide range of workflows -- expect a real onboarding runway, with structured training and close support from the team as you build fluency across each subject area. You'll have support and mentoring as you grow into the role, along with a real hand in shaping how it evolves as we bring new tools online.
