The Logistics & Compliance Analyst will support daily import/export logistics, customs compliance, freight management, logistics analytics, and freight claims. This position will ensure shipments are processed accurately and efficiently while analyzing logistics data to support production schedules, delivery requirements, cost containment, and continuous improvement. Provide integrated logistics, analytics, freight, and trade-compliance support that enables reliable production and delivery schedules while reducing customs errors, transportation issues, delays, claims exposure, and unnecessary logistics costs.

Responsibilities of Logistics and Compliance Analyst can include:

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics, transportation, shipment documentation, and customs clearance.
  • Analyze and interpret logistics data to support efficient production schedules and timely delivery of products while containing costs.
  • Review logistics trends, performance data, and anomalies to identify opportunities for process, cost, and service improvements.
  • Communicate logistics findings and recommendations to appropriate internal and external stakeholders.
  • Review customs entries for HTS classification, country of origin, value, duties, Chapter 99, Section 232, CAA, and other applicable requirements.
  • Conduct pre-arrival customs entry audits and identify discrepancies before shipment arrival.
  • Manage freight claims involving loss, damage, shortages, overages, and transportation discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, carriers, suppliers, and internal departments to resolve logistics and compliance issues.
  • Maintain customs, freight, claims, and supporting documentation.
  • Support PSCs, protests, customs audits, and other trade compliance projects.
  • Develop and maintain logistics/compliance KPIs, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.
  • Identify opportunities to improve delivery performance, logistics efficiency, compliance, and overall transportation costs.

Qualifications for Logistics and Compliance Analyst:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience in transportation, supply chain, and/or import/export operations
  • Ability to display appropriate proficiency with computers and computer applications
  • Understanding and applying financial concepts to supply management decisions to address allocation of funds, accurate reporting and management of risk
  • Ability to research and identify specialized resources inside or outside of the organization that will effectively meet the needs of the situation. Communicate clear expectations to the resource; monitor deliverables, evaluate and record results, contact information and other data for future use
  • Obtain certifications of compliance in the logistics field that may require travel
