Job description

About Ramp

Ramp is building the smart infrastructure for finance teams, embedded in the transaction flow of every dollar a business spends. We automate how over $200B in annualized spend flows in and out of 70,000+ companies: authorizing payments, flagging risk, categorizing spend, and closing books.

The problems are high-stakes, data-dense, and unforgiving.

We hire people with high agency and high urgency. We look for slope over intercept. We care less about where you trained and more about what you’ve built. At Ramp, everyone is a builder who owns problems end to end and makes consequential decisions that shape the outcome.

The median Ramp customer saves 5% and grows revenue 16% in their first year – far in excess of businesses operating without Ramp. We believe every ambitious company deserves the same.

If you want to build systems that directly shape how companies move and manage billions, Ramp is the place to do it.

About the Role

As the Solutions Consultant, Enterprise Team Manager at Ramp, you will lead and develop a high-performing team of Solutions Consultants supporting Enterprise prospects. You will set the operating rhythm for complex pre-sales work, coach the team on discovery, solution design, demos, technical deal strategy, and partner closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Account Management to deliver a cohesive customer experience.

You will remain close to high-impact opportunities while scaling the team’s technical ownership financial fluency, and executive presence. This is a player-coach leadership role: you will improve how the team qualifies and advances complex opportunities, create repeatable practices and assets, and use customer insight to shape Ramp’s go-to-market and product priorities.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Enterprise Solutions Consultants; set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and support career growth.
  • Establish a high-quality operating cadence for pipeline reviews, deal strategy, forecasting, staffing, and performance management.
  • Partner with Enterprise Sales leadership to shape account strategy, qualify complex opportunities, and deploy the right solutions resources at the right moments.
  • Coach the team to lead discovery, deliver tailored demos, and architect solutions that connect Ramp’s platform, financial workflows, ERP systems, and integrations to customer priorities.
  • Engage directly in the most strategic or complex customer situations, including executive conversations, technical validation, RFPs, and escalations.
  • Build scalable playbooks, technical assets, demo standards, and knowledge-sharing practices that improve quality and consistency across the team.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Product Marketing, Customer Success, and Services to translate recurring customer needs into actionable feedback, roadmap context, and strong handoffs.
  • Define and inspect team health metrics such as coverage, conversion, cycle efficiency, solution quality, customer outcomes, and talent development.
  • Foster an inclusive, high-accountability culture grounded in customer empathy, strong collaboration, speed, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify practical ways for the team to use AI to improve preparation, documentation, solutioning, and customer-facing work while maintaining quality and good judgment.

What You Need

  • 8+ years of experience in Solutions Consulting, Sales Engineering, Solutions Architecture, Professional Services, or a related customer-facing technical role, including 3+ years of people management or demonstrated player-coach leadership.
  • Proven success leading teams through complex enterprise sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders, technical requirements, and long decision processes.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise financial operations, controllership priorities, and accounting workflows.
  • Working fluency with enterprise systems and integrations, including ERP platforms such as NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or Microsoft Dynamics; APIs; SFTP; and adjacent HRIS, identity, and security systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach others on discovery, solution design, executive storytelling, technical communication, and consultative selling.
  • Strong operating judgment: able to prioritize limited resources, inspect pipeline health, make trade-offs, and drive execution in a fast-moving environment.
  • Executive presence and ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders by translating technical complexity into business value.
  • Track record of building repeatable processes, assets, and team rituals that elevate performance beyond individual contributions.
  • Experience building AI-assisted workflows for solutions, sales, or customer-facing teams.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and change-management skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience supporting fintech, spend management, accounting automation, or other financial software products.
