Reporting to the Plant Manager, the Finance Manager will be responsible for providing advice, guidance, consultation, analysis, reporting & support for all areas of finance related to the manufacturing plant and its processes. Plant costs include but are not limited to fixed, variable & overhead.

  1. Lead the planning, preparation and communication of plant manufacturing, maintenance and overhead cost budgeting process
  2. Regularly update the plant leadership team monthly and forecast performance to budget and work with departments to understand and develop action plans to close any gaps
  3. Responsible for the preparation, interpretation and communication of monthly manufacturing accounting statements through use of manufacturing accounting systems
  4. Conduct feasibility studies in partnership with other departments on various capital projects to support cost reductions and plant improvements
  5. Work closely with the Continuous Improvement (CI) department to ensure cost savings projects are properly tracked and delivered. Provide regular updates and guidance to leadership team on monthly and forecasted results of CI savings
  6. Responsible for communication and presentation of key plant metrics to senior leadership, plant leadership and various key stakeholders
  7. Supervision of direct reports, including Procurement and IT

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

Professional Accounting Designation

3-5 Years of experience in Accounting| Finance

Experience in a Manufacturing environment would be a strong asset

Systems aptitude & excellent PC skills are required (JD Edwards, SharePoint, etc.)

Knowledge & passion for Continuous Improvement methodology and tools

Comfortable presenting to Senior-level leadership

Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

Ability to influence without authority

Experience in budgeting & strategy/business planning

Ability to handle sensitive business information with confidence

Excellent communication skills

High attention to detail
