Aprio is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for a Manager, Learning & Development Events to join their dynamic team! The Manager, Learning & Development (L&D) Events leads the end-to-end planning, coordination, and execution of internal and client-facing learning events, training and leadership development programs, and firm meetings that support organizational development and team member growth. This role partners with internal stakeholders and external vendors to deliver high-quality, logistically sound events aligned with firm goals and learning objectives. The Manager oversees event strategy, budget management, venue sourcing, vendor contacting, and continuous improvement of event processes to ensure measurable outcomes and strong ROI. This role also leads an event coordinator and drives consistent operational excellence across all event programming.Key Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and execute events from concept through completion, ensuring alignment with firm goals and budget parameters.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for all events.
- Manage event logistics including venue selection, catering, audiovisual, signage, transportation, and staffing.
- Partner with internal stakeholders and external vendors to align event objectives and ensure quality delivery.
- Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships, including intake processes, with minimal supervision.
- Oversee event registration, communications, and marketing.
- Track and analyze event metrics; prepare post-event reports to assess ROI and inform continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot and resolve event issues before, during, and after execution.
- Lead and develop an early career team member, providing coaching, feedback, and performance support.
Candidate Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in event planning and execution for conferences, training events, and executive meetings, preferably some with a learning focus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to source venues and negotiate contracts with vendors.
- Willing to travel up to 20-30%.
- Preferred: Cvent experience.
- Preferred: Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification.
