Job description

POSITION

SUMMARY

Manages the day-to-day functions related to Participant Directed Services fiscal intermediary requirements. Collaborates with A/P, A/R and billing staff, to ensure accuracy in budgets, payroll and billing.

QUALIFICATIONS

Associate degree and 5 years’ experience in an administrative/payroll field. Experience with Mains’l software system required. Experience working in a community mental health center preferred.

SKILL SETS: Possesses superior organizational, oral and written communication skills. Must demonstrate a high level of familiarity with Microsoft Office specifically MS-Excel and Access.

PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS: Visual acuity necessary for computer work and administration of all paperwork. Requires minimal stooping and crouching to access files. Hearing and speaking necessary for phone conversations with clients, employees and other individuals. There are long periods of sitting. Manual dexterity is required to perform keyboard and calculator functions and other related duties.

JOB SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:

  1. Supervision of PDS Financial Management staff.
  2. Communicate with outside agencies regarding PDS FI needs.
  3. Communicate with Case Managers and other PDS Staff.
  4. Confirming the continued eligibility of PDS consumers and ensuring PDS budgets are not overspent.
  5. Maintains confidential payroll records and files.
  6. Troubleshooting issues with Case Managers and other PDS Staff to ensure timely and accurate payment of PDS providers.
  7. Training incoming PDS Specialists and Administrative Staff.
  8. Frequent communication with payroll processing company to ensure accuracy with entries, reports, billing, etc.
  9. Frequent correspondence with outside agencies to resolve Financial Management related issues.
  10. Answers telephone and other forms of inquiries regarding PDS issues.
  11. Data entry related to payroll processing, tracking budgets, billing and other necessary functions.
  12. Participates in agency continuing quality improvement (CQI) activities.
  13. Performs other duties as assigned.
