PositionSummary
The Manager, Social Media will lead the day-to-day strategy, management and execution of Atlanta City FC’s social media presence across all platforms. This role will help grow and engage the club’s audience through timely, creative and platform-native storytelling, including match and training coverage, team announcements, community engagement, and key brand moments.
The ideal candidate is a creative and highly organized social media leader with experience managing brand channels, developing platform-specific content, leading real-time coverage, and building engaged online communities. They are comfortable balancing long-term strategy with fast-moving daily execution while maintaining a distinct brand voice and identifying opportunities across sports, culture and emerging social trends.
This position will report directly to the Director, Digital & Social Media, working closely with leaders across marketing, content, partnerships, communications, community and other areas of the organization to support strategic planning, business objectives and day-to-day social execution.
Roles andResponsibilities
Lead social platforms & fan experience
- Lead day-to-day social strategy, publishing and live coverage across NWSL Atlanta platforms.
- Manage the content calendar, platform priorities, and brand voice.
- Identify trends and emerging opportunities that strengthen fan connection and audience growth.
- Collaborate with Content, Marketing, Communications, Partnerships and Community.
Manage community & audience development
- Lead social community management across channels.
- Monitor fan sentiment and audience behavior to inform strategy.
- Develop platform-specific approaches that grow and deepen supporter engagement.
Lead content & team execution
- Guide platform-native content across video, photography, graphics and copy.
- Oversee timely publication of team news and key club moments.
- Support and develop Social Coordinators, interns, and part-time staff.
Oversee analytics & optimization
- Track social KPIs across growth, engagement, reach, and video performance.
- Use performance insights to inform future content and platform strategy.
Campaign, ticketing & partnership support
- Support club campaigns, ticket promotions, and partnership integrations through social-first execution.
MinimumQualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 3+ years of experience in social media, digital content, digital marketing, or a related field within a fast-paced professional environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing brand social channels, content calendars, and real-time social execution.
- Excellent writing and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple platforms, projects, and timelines simultaneously.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills with experience working across internal teams and external partners.
- Self-starter with a strong understanding of social platforms, emerging trends, and audience behavior.
- Able and willing to work non-traditional hours including weekends, evenings and holidays as needed.
- Passion for and knowledge of soccer and soccer culture.
- Basic graphic design skills are a plus.
- Fluent in Spanish is a plus.
