JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

POSITION: Hotel Operations Manager STATUS: Full-Time

REPORTS TO: General Manager SALARY: $65,000 (D.O.E.)

POSITION OPENS: 10/8/2026 CLOSES: 10/25/2026

POSITION SUMMARY

Oversee all aspects of the hotel, including employee and facility management, budgeting, forecasting, revenue management and assisting in the determination of hotel rates.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the premises are in operative condition to serve all guests as per Mistequa standards.
  • Prepare the annual budget and monthly forecasting. Monitor budget, inventory in all areas of responsibility, and marketing strategies to produce both short-term and long-term profitability.
  • Inspecting the entire facility on a regular basis to ensure cleanliness, ambience, service readiness, and staff grooming is in line with the Mistequa culture.
  • Monitor the coordination between individual departments for smooth & efficient operations.
  • Deal with suppliers/vendors to ensure quality products are received and performance meets expectations.
  • Supervise staff recruitment, training, and performance management to foster a positive work environment.
  • Work with all departments to identify and correct problems and make recommendations to remedy problems.
  • Keep track of correspondence and interactions with customers using a customer relationship management tool.
  • Conduct regular Team Member meetings to discuss routine operational matters.
  • Responsible for revenue management and providing input on all aspects of the hotels rates.
  • Manage guest services to ensure all guests receive outstanding service during their stary. This includes responding appropriately to all guest requests, problems, complaints and/or accidents in a prompt and courteous manner. Follows-ups are required on all issues to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Monitors and supports the VIP and guest request processes as well as their respective recognition programs.
  • Must be willing to work with all regulatory agencies, i.e., Gaming Commission, State, and Federal.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations as well as company policies.
  • Collaborate with various department managers to promote the hotel through multiple events and channels.
  • Be able to analyze financial reports to assess performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Must learn and ensure policies and procedures are being followed per the departments' Internal Controls. Must adhere to the Mistequa Casino Hotel Team member Handbook.
  • Must adhere to our SMILE service standards and Core Values by providing excellent guest service. Maintain a positive and productive attitude with guests as well as fellow team members. Monitor team members within the departments to ensure SMILE service standards and Core Values are being executed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

GENERAL CONDITIONS

Must have the ability to:

  • Communicate effectively with all levels of team members, guests, and outside contacts using verbal, written and electronic forms of communication.

  • Move around all work areas effectively and efficiently.
  • Able to work periodically under conditions of extreme urgency (creating higher levels of job stress).

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Bachelor's degree in hotel management, business administration or related field is preferred. Additionally, three to five years of experience or any combination of education and experience that displays knowledge and skill to perform successfully in this position.
  • Ability to lead Team Members as well as be a part of the overall Mistequa Team.
  • Ability to work independently and use good judgement.
  • Proven managerial and supervisory experience required, preferably in the hospitality environment.
  • Familiarity with front desk operations, hotel management software, and strong skills using Microsoft Office are preferred.
  • Knowledge of revenue management techniques and strategies for maximizing profitability.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly required to talk or hear. The team member is regularly required to stand or walk for long periods of time. The team member is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The team member is frequently required to lift and carry up to 55 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The workplace environment characteristics described here are representative of those a team member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The facilities are ADA compliant.

While performing the duties of this job the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

REGULATORY AND COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to the other duties described herein, every team member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

  • Must be 18 years of age to obtain and able to maintain a License C with Spokane Tribal Gaming Commission.
  • Attend all required training sessions pertaining to management of the Casino / Hotel.
  • Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
  • Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member's department.
  • Consult Internal Control Procedures and Policy Manuals for guidance.
  • Report illegal activity to Security or the appropriate levels of Management.
