Pallet Jack Operator
Job duties
Examples:
· Be available to assist Production team members in identifying and locating any dry goods necessary for successful completion of
all production schedules.
·Will be expected to monitor all receiving area activities to ensure all Plant Company Safety Rules. USDA Regulations and Plant Quality Assurance guidelines are followed and report any deviations to the proper supervisory team member.
· Review production schedule and product specification sheets with supervisors to ensure that the correct product and/or packaging
materials are brought to the production line.
· Visual inspection of :
(A) pallet prior to moving the pallet into the production area. Report any tears, holes, etc. to your immediate supervisor and/or QA Tech immediately. This product can not be taken to the production area without a product review being performed on it.
(B) Pallet Jack – Inspect pallet jack at shift start-up. Complete Inspection Sheet and report any maintenance issues immediately to your Supervisor and/or Maintenance. Completed Inspection Sheet is to be turned in to Safety Coordinator at the end of each week.
· Inventory cooler/trailer sheets are to be reviewed to determine order in which the product is to be brought to the production line.
· Julian Date/Kill Date
- As a Pallet Jack Operator it is your responsibility to ensure that all product has the proper Julian dale, kill date and/or use by date. It is your responsibility to ensure the “tombstone” information is correctly completed. Refer to the product specification sheet for detail requirements.
- · Labels/Product Codes – As a Pallet Jack operator it is your responsibility to visually inspect all finished or WIIP pallets and ensure the pallet has the correct label, production code, Julian date, kill date lot number, water content label, etc. on the tombstone prior to moving the product into the cooler, the freezer, another area of the plant, or onto trailers for storage and/or shipping.
- · Must have a current Forklift/Pallet Jack licenses issued by Twin River Foods prior to operating a forklift and/or pallet jack.
- · Set up department by reviewing production schedule prior to bringing tubs, lids, boxes, etc. to the product lines.
- · Brings product to the department – reviews inventory cooler/trailer control sheet; verifies lot numbers, Julian date, and kill date accordingly.
- · Performs visual inspection of all product containers (combs, wax boxes, lugs, etc) and ingredient packaging prior to bringing
items to the production area. Immediately notify supervisor and QA personnel of any tares, holes, etc. in product containers or ingredient packaging in order for proper documentation and resolution prior to the item being taken
to the production floor.
· Takes product away from the line to the cooler or other departments – verifies product (WIP, finished, etc) is properly
identified prior to leaving the production area.
· Removes all product, packaging, boxes, lids, etc. at the end of the shift and takes them to proper staging area.
· Must follow all guidelines related to SSOP’s, GMP’s, PPE’s, etc.
All other duties as directed by your Supervisor

Requirements
Must be able to stand for long periods of time and work in a hot/cold or wet/dry environment.
Must be able to push, and pull full pallets of product
Must be able to walk all throughout your shift
Must be self motivated
