Job description

INNOVIM is seeking a NMAC Systems Administrator to support North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC) Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract III (NISSC 3).

Location: Chidlaw Building and Peterson Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO

Shift: Shift work is required (Panama schedule)

Description of Duties:

The NMAC Systems Administrator supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC) Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC 3). The candidate will:

  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve system hardware, software, peripheral, and networking problems in stressful situations.
  • Explain technical concepts to inexperienced users.
  • Optimize, fine-tune, and monitor operating system software and hardware.
  • Install and configure software and hardware.
  • Create Incident Reports on system issues and performing system data collection.
  • Perform and provide server, workstation, and application expertise to government, civilian and contractor users.
  • Provide support to other work centers and test community.
  • Travel to off-site location with the supported community user.
  • Escort and provide support to engineers and maintenance personnel.
  • Coordinate with other Mission Assurance Centers.
  • Order replacement of new hardware and software including warranty claims.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Basic

Requirements

  • Must have 1.5 years of directly related experience.
  • Must have at least 4 years of general work history.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems (OS) and associated hardware.
  • Must have experience with Windows System Administration.
  • Must have experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must have experience with Virtualization.
  • Must have experience with Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies.
  • Must have a current DoD IAT Level II or higher (Security + (CE)).
  • Must have an active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance with SCI eligibility.

Requirements

  • Have experience using command line interface such as cisco, unix, linux, or windows.
  • Have experience with Cyber and Space Operations.
  • Have a VMware certification -VCP/VCAP
  • Have experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux environment.
  • Have experience with Netapp technologies.
  • AS degree in the computer field.
  • Basic understanding of network topologies and protocols.

*Shift work is required to support 24×7 operations. It is important to be available to work any shift/designated hours required including nights, weekends, and holidays on a modified Panama schedule, and can remain on-site for extended periods during emergencies and drills*

This position is expected to pay $70,000-$75,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
