Job description

AWS Infrastructure Non-Traditional Environments Security team is seeking a highly motivated Security Operations/Program Manager to join our team. This role combines hands-on operational security management with strategic security program management, ensuring both day-to-day physical security excellence and the successful lifecycle management of security systems across AWS facilities.

You will drive operational security excellence across multiple facilities located within a metro area. A critical part of your work will involve extracting and analyzing security metrics to observe trends, measure improvements, and make data-driven decisions that strengthen our security posture.

You will evaluate and recommend improvements to electronic surveillance and access control systems while leading efforts to educate data center occupants on security best practices and false alarm reduction. You will write and implement security processes and procedures that standardize operations across your facilities. Your position will require you to prepare reports, create presentations, and communicate regularly with management on the status of physical security operations.

In addition to your operational responsibilities, you will support the installation of physical security systems including Access Control, Intrusion Detection, and CCTV Surveillance systems. You will conduct continuous reviews of existing security standards and stay abreast of new technology developments that enhance the physical security posture of AWS data centers and collocations.

You will work directly with Cluster Security Managers, Operations Teams, and internal customers to translate their requirements into physical security system design and implementation.

Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, including the ability to write security processes and procedures, prepare executive-level reports and presentations, and effectively manage vendor and stakeholder relationships. Experience in physical security operations management across multiple sites, along with demonstrated proficiency in electronic security systems such as access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV surveillance, is expected.
