The Role: As the Opening AGM, you will oversee all aspects of the hotel’s "Launch"- from final construction phases and team recruitment to the grand opening and beyond. You’ll be responsible for driving revenue, maintaining Marriott’s high brand standards, and building a culture of hospitality that reflects the Level5 mission.

Summary
The Assistant General Manager will plan and oversee daily operations of the hotel to ensure goals and objectives are achieved. The Assistant General Manager overall goals are to strive to exceed in all of our Level5 Hospitality pillars which include employee satisfaction, profitability, market share, guest satisfaction and quality assurance. This position will also have a strong focus on overseeing the hotel’s Food & Beverage operations, including our on-site bar and food service.
SupervisoryResponsibilities
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new hotel staff
- Oversees the day-to-day operations and staffing of the hotel
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with hotel policy
Duties/Responsibilities
- Plans and organizes daily activities related to hotel operations
- Oversees hotel departments and works with department leaders to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Measures labor productivity by analyzing performance data, financial data, and activity reports
- Determines staffing and labor needs to meet hotel service and labor goals
- Assists with budget preparation and manages revenue and expense budgets for departments overseen
- Provides direct oversight of the hotel’s Food & Beverage operations, including the on-site bar and food service
- Oversees and supports F&B team members, including training, scheduling, service standards, and daily operations
- Manages F&B inventory, ordering, cost controls, and labor to meet budget and profitability goals
- Ensures Food & Beverage operations meet Marriott brand standards and applicable health, safety, and alcohol service requirements
- Works closely with the Front Desk Supervisor and other department leaders to ensure smooth coordination between Front Office, Food & Beverage, and overall hotel operations
- Assists with preparing and updating the organization’s operations manuals and policies
- Performs other related duties as required
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent managerial and supervisory skills
- Extensive knowledge of operations and production management
- Ability to interpret financial data as needed to set production goals
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
PhysicalRequirements
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position during shift.
- Must be able to access and navigate the facility.
- Employees are required to adhere to safety requirements by wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Work is routine and repetitive in nature and may require strenuous physical exertion at times, including the ability to move objects weighing up to 50lbs.
