Fairfield Community Health Center's (FCHC) goal is high-quality, better care for our patients. We have been recognized as a level 3 Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) by the National Committee for Quality Assurance for all our family practice offices. PCMH means we offer a team approach, with the patient as the most important member of the team. FCHC offers improved access to care with extended hours, as well as same-day and next-day appointments. We work with specialists and hospitals to coordinate care to be sure that the entire healthcare team is working together to assure the best possible health for our patients.

The pay range for this position is $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 annually

Position

Summary

The Operations Manager is responsible for the administrative operation of the clinic under the direction of the FCHC Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The Operations Manager ensures the efficient and effective delivery of provider/staff scheduling, collaborates with the GME residency program, and other administrative duties through effective human resource management and the implementation of FCHC administrative policies and procedures. The Manager promotes the FCHC Mission, Vision, and Values.

Primary Duties:

  • Focuses on guiding others in accomplishing work objectives. Rewards and recognizes others, both formally and informally, in ways that motivate them. Sets clear performance expectations and objectives and holds others accountable for achieving results. Conducts annual performance evaluations and goal setting with staff. Facilitates staff education as needed.

  • Prepares provider/staff schedules. Acts as a liaison between FCHC and designated external vendors. Responsible for the medical supply budget and ensures appropriate and sufficient supplies throughout patient care areas.

  • Interviews, selects, and sets orientation objectives for all new administrative personnel.

  • Administers coaching, corrective action, and recommends termination when necessary. Provides or recommends additional resources, training and tools to support staff needs. Enforces and adheres to organizational policy/safety practices.

  • Oversees the daily operations of the administrative staff, assisting staff with day-to-day administrative operations when necessary. Plan, schedule, and direct the work of self and others.

  • Attend all internal and external meetings assigned. Communicates and acts as liaison between other FCHC offices, providers, and staff.

  • Assist with coordination and compliance of training and competencies.

  • Collaborates with the GME residency program.

  • Assists and coordinates students for OPCWI.

  • Acts as a liaison for medical, office, phone, and computer equipment maintenance. Monitors grounds and facility maintenance. Addresses emergent maintenance issues.

  • Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

  • Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills. Clearly conveys messages in a way that will aid in understanding and retaining the information.

  • Computer proficiency. Demonstrates a working knowledge and understanding of all computer applications used regularly. Ability to use these applications to increase overall productivity.

  • Demonstrates effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively to meet organizational objectives.
