Location: Lake County, IL - Hybrid: onsite Tuesday-Thursday; remote Monday and Friday.

Length of Assignment: 6 months

Pay Rate: $54-58/hr (medical benefits available at a cost)

Schedule: Standard business hours

Job Description:

The Patient Reported Outcomes Manager I reports to a COA and Digital Implementation Team (CDIT) Navigator and supports the Study Start-Up organization. The role ensures timely, adequate, cost-effective, business-aligned standards, strategies, and processes for patient-reported outcomes (PROs).

  • Comply with applicable corporate and divisional policies and procedures. Provide project management and expert consultation for patient-centered PRO licensing and translation activities across all therapeutic areas within Clinical Program Development (CPD).
  • Own the Vault PRO Library, a repository containing PRO instruments, licensing and permission terms, master service agreements, translation and training requirements, and electronic-format requirements.
  • Partner with PRO owners, Outsourcing, Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), Data Sciences, and clinical teams to facilitate PRO and electronic PRO (ePRO) implementation during study start-up. Coordinate vendor contract initiation, translation management, milestones, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Provide strategic and technical expertise and training to CPD teams in support of PRO/ePRO activities during study start-up.
  • Directly supervise PRO management associates and create an inclusive, innovative environment.

Qualifications

  • Clinical outcome assessment (COA) licensing and translation experience.
  • Six or more years of clinical research, outcomes research, or project management experience.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, healthcare, or related field; an equivalent background with relevant experience is acceptable.
  • A minimum of one to three years of global clinical research or project management experience, whether direct or peripheral.
  • Knowledge of patient-reported outcomes or outcomes research, with a minimum of one to three years of relevant hands-on experience.
  • Demonstrated core and technical competencies in managing components of the PRO/ePRO process, with strong communication skills and leadership abilities.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders and building effective relationships across functions and geographic locations.
  • Ability to apply standard operating procedures and understand global operations and regulatory requirements, including Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
  • Ability to learn quickly, adapt to changing needs, improve performance, and foster a learning environment that welcomes suggestions and experimentation.
  • Ability to embrace others’ ideas, encourage innovation, and translate improvements into practical results.
