Plant Controller – Manufacturing Finance Manager
Job description
Location: Bartlesville, Oklahoma (full relocation cost provided)
The Opportunity
Total cash compensation for this Plant Controller role can reach well past $160,000. The base is $125,000–$135,000, with a 25%–30% bonus paid through two separate yearly bonus programs.
You would own financial budgeting and ongoing forecasting for a high-tech manufacturing plant that is part of a parent company with more than $1 billion in sales. You would also work directly with the Plant Manager on decisions that affect plant performance and profitability.
The role is on-site in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. There is no remote option, and the company pays full relocation costs for the right candidate, nationwide.

Your Day-to-Day
- Manage all financial matters for the plant, and own the budget and ongoing forecasts
- Work with the Plant Manager to identify issues and drive plant performance and profitability
- Run the accounting system and keep cost reporting accurate and on schedule
- Complete manufacturing cost variance analysis and work with plant management and staff on cost control
- Lead local cost-reduction initiatives and increase financial visibility across the plant
- Lead the facility's annual standard cost update, following corporate guidelines
- Lead and support budget planning and forecasting in line with corporate guidelines
- Make sure inventory balances are stated correctly under US GAAP and corporate guidelines
- Review bills of materials to confirm each BOM reflects the product actually built
- Evaluate investment projects from the plant leadership team to confirm accuracy and that returns meet corporate guidelines
- Supervise one cost accountant
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- 7+ years of experience as a Finance Manager, Plant Controller, or Accounting Manager
- Solid cost accounting knowledge, enough to supervise a cost accountant
- Experience with financial budgeting and forecasting
- Working knowledge of US GAAP
- Willingness to work on-site in Bartlesville, Oklahoma
