Job description

Key Responsibilities

Customer Technical Support

  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support for power supply and power conversion products.
  • Analyze customer requirements and recommend appropriate power solutions.
  • Assist customers with product selection, system integration, and design optimization.
  • Support customer qualification testing and resolve field application issues.

Application Development

  • Develop reference designs, evaluation platforms, and application notes.
  • Create and validate customer-specific solutions using AC-DC, DC-DC, PoE, battery charging, and power management technologies.
  • Perform circuit simulation, characterization, and performance verification.
  • Generate test reports and technical documentation.

Product Validation & Troubleshooting

  • Conduct electrical, thermal, EMC/EMI, reliability, and performance testing.
  • Debug hardware and system-level issues.
  • Support root-cause analysis of customer returns and field failures.
  • Work closely with design engineering teams to implement corrective actions.

Technical Sales Support

  • Deliver customer presentations, product demonstrations, and technical training.
  • Participate in customer design reviews and engineering discussions.
  • Support RFI, RFQ, and technical compliance activities.
  • Assist in developing competitive product comparisons and positioning.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with design, quality, manufacturing, and product management teams.
  • Provide feedback on customer requirements for future product development.
  • Support new product introduction (NPI) activities.
  • Help define specifications for next-generation power products.

Required Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Master's degree in Power Electronics preferred.

Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in power electronics, power supply design, applications engineering, or related field.
  • Experience supporting customers in a technical role preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of:
    • AC-DC power supplies
    • DC-DC converters
    • Flyback, Forward, LLC, Half-Bridge, Full-Bridge topologies
    • Power Factor Correction (PFC)
    • PoE (IEEE 802.3af/at/bt)
    • Battery charging systems
    • Si, SiC, and GaN power devices
    • Thermal design and management
    • EMC/EMI compliance
  • Proficiency with:
    • Oscilloscopes
    • Power analyzers
    • Electronic loads
    • Network analyzers
    • Spectrum analyzers
    • Thermal test equipment
  • Experience using:
    • LTspice
    • PSpice
    • MATLAB/Simulink
    • Power electronics simulation tools

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with PoE systems and Ethernet power delivery.
  • Familiarity with UL, IEC, FCC, CE, and Energy Efficiency standards.
  • Knowledge of digital power control techniques.
  • Experience supporting global customers and manufacturing teams.
  • Understanding of reliability analysis, MTBF calculations, and design verification methods.
