  • Strong expertise in storage architecture and data center networking tradeoffs relevant to virtual desktop infrastructure, including reliability, scale, and operational supportability.
  • Demonstrated depth in rack-level efficiency and site constraints, including power, cooling, density, cabling, and floor-space optimization across enterprise deployments.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence vendor strategy and produce financially rigorous business cases in regulated environments with strong audit, controls, and executive stakeholder management.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience in financial services or similarly regulated sectors with large-scale data center operations and strict resilience expectations.
  • Experience partnering directly with end-user compute or virtual desktop infrastructure product organizations to shape hardware strategy based on persona demand, service-level objectives, and growth forecasts.
  • Track record establishing formal hardware governance models that replaced fragmented decisioning with repeatable, evidence-driven portfolio management.
  • Experience with advanced data center optimization practices, including telemetry-driven capacity planning and efficiency benchmarking across sites.
  • Advanced degree in engineering, computer science, or related field is a plus.

  • Pragmatic and outcome-oriented, balancing technical rigor with delivery speed and operational reliability.
  • Influences and is comfortable driving partners to meet enterprise standards and timelines.
  • Commercially astute, able to connect architecture choices to financial outcomes and long-term portfolio value.
