Job description
JOB OVERVIEW AND PURPOSE:
This position is responsible for overseeing the production process in the creation of imagery that fulfills the objective outlined by our customers and elevates their brand. The Producer is a multi-tasking position that encompasses the duties of management, producer, account executive and creative liaison. Our purpose is to provide a creative and rewarding work environment for our employees while delivering high quality content to our customers.
JOB LOCATION AND HOURS:
The location of this position is required to be in office at our Studio Location unless agreed upon differently. The normal working hours for this position are Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm with a one-hour lunch. Additional hours and days may be required on an occasional basis pending workload and individual productions.
FLSA CLASSIFICATION:
This is an exempt position and not eligible for overtime under the FLSA guidelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Must continually monitor the project timeline, project scope and budget for multiple projects. Protect studio margin on all jobs by managing and adhering to quote parameters. In those situations when a project is likely to go over budget, the producer communicates this to management and the Account Executive/Sales Team Contact.
- Coordinate the activities of designers, carpenters, photographers, and other personnel to ensure appropriate resources are assigned to projects.
- Regularly meet with key team members including production meetings regarding job kick off, deadlines, expectations and to ensure each job is profitable to the company and within the specified budget.
- Enable project team success by identifying and addressing risk factors, external dependencies, and implementing innovative solutions to keep the project moving forward.
- Serve the external customer. Understand their communication objective, shot lists, brand standards, deadlines, and creative expectations. Keep the customer up to date regarding project status and follow up with customer to ensure timely asset deliveries.
- Provide periodic status reports to customer point person including activities, deliverables, accomplishments, and budget updates.
- Coordinate delivery of customer digital assets, data, and project launch process. Ensure final deliverables rise to the customer’s expectation for quality, creativity, brand, communication objective, and profitability as defined by Upper Management.
- Identify changes in scope; quantify project impact in terms of risk, time, and budget.
- Ensure team members and customers complete their tasks in an accurate and timely manner to ensure overall project efficiency.
- Manages and resolves the most complex problems encountered by researching causes and determining how to prevent recurrences.
- Work with and maintain project management software.
- Serve the customer when they are on-site. Divide time appropriately to give customers and jobs face time when you perceive it is warranted to ensure job runs smoothly and the customer has a wonderful experience while at the studio. Treat the customers as guests and manage all in-house hospitality.
- Troubleshoot any issues with shoot planning, implementation, and execution.
- Operate safely within the production facility and take the lead for safety for all personnel on set during production.
- Assist Sales with materials as needed for sale; This may include insight from previous projects, production, and creative briefs for quotes.
- Accompany Sales on customer solicitations to leverage the power of TC Photography in the sales process as needed.
- Assist with maintaining existing client relationships and assisting with the quoting process as needed.
- Submit receipts and complete Expensify reports, detailing all monthly department spending.
- Make recommendations for capital expenditures that will improve quality, creativity, efficiency, and profitability of our deliverables.
- Practices self-development; Demonstrates ongoing learning and self-development.
- Attentive to detail, take initiative, and demonstrate flexibility.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to continuously engage in department needs while maintaining productivity

- Knowledge of correct English usage, spelling, and punctuation
- Ability to skillfully operate computers; possess skilled typing ability and accuracy as well as knowledge of personal computers, hardware, software, and related applications and systems

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree / Applicable studio experience
- Minimum professional experience related to department: 1 year
- Knowledge and expertise in professional studio setting
- Must have outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Conscientious work habits and superior attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent project/time management skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described below must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Dexterity is mandatory as this job requires frequent use of hands and fingers
- Will be required to walk, reach with hands and arms, push items overhead, occasionally stoop, kneel, or crouch.
