Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, Rio Grande Valley Sector, Mission Readiness Operations Division located in Edinburg, TX. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above.
Relocation Authorized Position: All relocations will be placed on hold at the time of selection, as USBP awaits to receive funding. As soon as funding becomes available, you will be contacted by the CBP Hiring Center to coordinate an enter on duty (EOD) date and complete the necessary relocation forms. Relocation expenses have been authorized for this position. See the Relocation Expenses Reimbursed section of this announcement and U.S. Border Patrol Paid Moves for additional details. This position starts at a salary of $147,945.00 (GS-15, Step 1) to $192,331.00 (GS-15, Step 10). In this Program Manager position you will serve as the Division Chief of Mission Readiness Operations Division (MROD). You will become a key member of a team of Homeland Security professionals managing a variety of agency-wide law enforcement programs. You will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and execution of key mission support processes for the sector. Typical work assignments include: Advising the Chief Patrol Agent (CPA) and Deputy Chief Patrol Agent (DCPA) of a sector and other managers on all DHS, CBP, and USBP key mission support processes. Ensuring the integration of assigned areas with strategic plans to ensure that they support processes within MROD and all USBP stations within a sector. Developing short-term and long-term plans to improve, upgrade the delivery of services and facilities.
