Job description

Position Summary

Contributes to the mission of Goodwill by facilitating special projects within Retail Operations. These projects include new store openings, store remodels, fixture inventories, visual presentation guidelines, and any other projects as dictated by the business.

Essential Duties(Other duties within the scope of this position may be assigned.)

1. Coordinates new store openings from Contractor Meeting through store opening weekend. Monitoring for smooth transition. Responsible for all follow up on support departments and contracted vendors. Travel is required.

2. Attends all new store opening project meetings with updated project plan. Visit each location as necessary to gauge progress of project milestones. Provide input on changes needed to keep the Opening Store Project Plan up to date and usable.

3. Responsible for the timely execution of purchase orders, business licenses, fixture plans and layouts, sanitation certificates/labels, production plan, sales floor layout and set up; collaborating closely with District Managers.

4. Drives financial goals of new store locations through proper store sets in conjunction with the current model, partner on deviations.

5. Plans weekly updates with Sr. Director DGR Operations, Director DGR Operations and District Managers. Solicits input on merchandise and fixture placement.

6. Adheres to and help develop Goodwill operational standards.

7. Attends required meetings (project meetings.). Acts as a liaison on projects requiring a retail representative to be part of the team.

8. Ensures internal and external customers are treated in a fair, courteous and efficient manner. Demonstrates a strong example of customer service.

9. Submits required reports accurately, neatly and in a timely manner.

10. Ensures the security of company assets. Immediately report known or suspected security and/or theft problems (internal/external).

11. Trouble shoots new store opening issues, partnering with support departments for resolution.

12. Acts as departmental liaison for Retail Operations projects outside of the department when applicable. Knows, adheres to, and enforces Goodwill policies & procedures.

Supervisory Responsibilities

The associate in this position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Education/Experience/Certificates/Security Clearance

• High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree in area of specialty preferred.

• 1 year experience in a related field required.

• No professional certifications are required for this position.

• Valid state driver's license, insurance and satisfactory driving record are required.

• Associates in this position will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check and sex offender check.

• No computer skills are required.
