Project Manager
Job description
- Help coordinate GC sourcing, qualifications, proposals, and selection.
- Manage construction against approved plans, scope, budgets, schedules, and brand standards.
- Hold GCs, vendors, and installers accountable for quality, progress, and commitments.
- Coordinate with Construction, Equipment and Attractions, and Final Build teams, along with architects, engineers, landlords, and other project partners.
- Track project costs, evaluate change orders, and challenge unsupported costs or delays.
- Resolve field issues, monitor critical milestones, and drive recovery plans when projects fall behind.
- Conduct two site visits per location for Large Brands and once for Small Brands.
- Keep franchisees informed and provide clear weekly updates on progress, risks, budgets, and projected completion.
- Coordinate final inspections and required opening approvals, lead punch-list walks, and verify corrective work is completed.
- Ability to travel and report to the corporate office when not traveling
- At least five years of construction project management experience, including direct responsibility for commercial buildouts.
- Experience managing multiple projects, GCs, budgets, schedules, and change orders.
- Ability to read construction drawings and specifications and understand construction sequencing and building systems.
- Confidence to advocate for franchisees, address difficult issues directly, and follow through on commitments.
- Strong organization, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Multi-location or franchise construction experience preferred.
- A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience considered.
