We are seeking a clinical Quality Improvement Manager!

The Quality Improvement Manager leads and support organization-wide quality improvement initiatives. This role is ideal for candidates with experience in primary care, behavioral health, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs), community health centers, population health, or value-based care environments. The Quality Improvement Manager will drive performance improvement efforts, optimize clinical quality outcomes, support regulatory compliance, and advance initiatives that improve patient care, health outcomes, and operational effectiveness.
The pay range for this position is $75,505.20 - $90,724.00 per year based on experience, education, and/or licensure.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for performance management, recruitment, onboarding, and team development, including but not limited to implementing progressive discipline when necessary?
- Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of quality improvement initiatives designed to improve clinical outcomes, patient experience, operational performance, and health equity.
- Monitor and analyze quality, utilization, and population health data, including performance on key measures such as UDS, HEDIS, value-based care metrics, and payer quality incentive programs.
- Collaborate with clinical and operational leadership to identify opportunities for improvement and develop data-driven strategies to enhance performance.
- Support quality initiatives across integrated care settings, including primary care, behavioral health, substance use disorder treatment, and care coordination services.
- Partner with the Managing Director of Behavioral Health Performance and other organizational leaders to support value-based contracting, quality incentive programs, and performance-based reimbursement strategies.
- Design and oversee data collection, reporting, and performance dashboards to monitor organizational goals and quality indicators.
- Facilitate Performance Improvement Projects (PIPs), Plan-Do-Study-Act (PDSA) cycles, and other continuous quality improvement activities.
- Monitor compliance with applicable regulatory and accreditation requirements, including HRSA, CARF, Medicaid, Medicare, state regulations, and payer quality programs.
- Conduct audits, chart reviews, workflow assessments, and gap analyses to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure quality standards are met.
- Collaborate with clinical, quality, compliance, and operational teams to develop corrective action plans and monitor outcomes.
- Support the preparation of Board, leadership, and committee reports related to quality performance, patient outcomes, and organizational goals.
- Develop and provide education, coaching, and technical assistance to providers and staff regarding quality measures, documentation requirements, quality improvement methodologies, and regulatory expectations.
- Serve as a quality improvement resource and subject matter expert for organizational initiatives.
- Promote a culture of continuous quality improvement, patient-centered care, accountability, and excellence throughout the organization.
Preferred Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, Nursing, Social Work, Psychology, Health Informatics, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of healthcare quality improvement, clinical quality, population health, value-based care, performance management, or healthcare operations experience.
- Experience working within a primary care, behavioral health, FQHC, community health center, or integrated healthcare setting strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of quality improvement methodologies, including PDSA, Lean, Six Sigma, and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) principles.
- Understanding of healthcare quality reporting programs, including UDS, HEDIS, CMS quality measures, and value-based reimbursement models.
- Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards, including CARF, HRSA, Joint Commission, NCQA, Medicaid, and Medicare requirements.
- Strong data analytics and performance measurement skills, including experience translating data into actionable improvement strategies.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience with electronic health records and healthcare data reporting platforms.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel and reporting tools.
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or similar quality certification preferred.
