Job description

QUALIFICATIONS

Required: Healthcare experience specializing in Diagnostic Imaging; excellent computer skills, with strong aptitude for troubleshooting systems, software or network problems; and ability to work in a team environment with coaching and performance evaluation given by all team members.

Preferred: BA or BS degree preferred or other relevant combination of training and experience.

3-7 years’ industry experience in providing application technical support and maintenance to Radiology / Cardiology Imaging systems.

EMR RIS Certification desired. EMR Certification will be required within 6 months of hire to PACS Team.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS

The ability to troubleshoot and resolve user needs as scheduled through the “Help” desk. Ability to lift terminals, computers, kneel below desks; quickly move to remote locations in the facilities. Ability to communicate via voice, data, and written skills.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Provide application support services for EMR, Radiology and Cardiology applications • Analyze service requests, and make recommendations related to best practices.
  • Follow client’s documented Change Management process to obtain approval for changes.
  • Build application changes in Test, work with user to complete testing, and move to production according to the client’s change control process.
  • Ability to work with vendors performing necessary system updates and upgrades.
  • Provide support for projects and other special application initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot complex user errors and provide timely and high quality customer service.
  • Document issues and solutions in Sky Lakes ticketing system.
  • Participate in the day to day tracking and follow-up on issues and questions of daily operations.
  • Validate and support system testing efforts.
  • Work with client users and functional teams as needed.
  • Escalate issues to the vendor as needed, and monitor vendor tickets for resolution.
  • Utilize the ticket management system to track issue status and work volume • Participate in a 24/7 after hours on call rotation.
  • In depth knowledge of Radiology and Cardiology workflows required; Rad Tech certification desired.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to communicate resolutions to customers and working relationships with Radiologists and Cardiologists.
  • Excellent training skills- Will be required to create training documentation and videos. Train internal or external staff on the systems that the team supports.
  • Proficiency in PACS.
  • Work with our departmental customers, other IT teams, project managers, on any requests, incidents and project tasks relating to Ancillary team systems to provide solutions.
  • Provide frequent status reports to reporting managers and project managers.
  • Proficiency in multitasking and the ability to prioritize workload.
  • Attending meetings as requested, representing the Ancillary team. Provide summary to team management.
  • Position reports to Diagnostic Imaging and Information Services.
