JOB OVERVIEW

• Job Title: RN RNFA – Robotics

• Profession: RN

• Job Type: Contract/Travel

• Location: Rochester, NY

• Schedule: Monday–Friday, Day Shift

• Hours: 36 or 48 hours/week

• Call: Evening call and rotating holidays

• Weekends: No weekends

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Active New York Registered Professional Nurse (RN) license

• Completion of an accredited RN First Assistant (RNFA) program

• CNOR certification required

• Minimum 2 years of OR experience

• Level I Trauma experience preferred

• Proficient in perioperative nursing practice

• Scrubbing and circulating experience preferred

• BLS – American Heart Association only

• ACLS – American Heart Association preferred

• ROBOTIC EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Da Vinci robotic surgery experience required

• Experience with robotic Urology, GYN, Colorectal, Surgical Oncology, Thoracic, and General Surgery

• Robotic Surgical Oncology experience including Whipple procedures, gastrectomies, and hernia repairs

• Robotic General Surgery experience including cholecystectomies and appendectomies

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist the surgeon and healthcare team during operative procedures.

• Practice as an RN First Assistant under the direction of the surgeon.

• Provide safe, effective perioperative care and support optimal patient outcomes.

• Perform RNFA duties during the operative phase of care.

• Perform circulating and scrub RN duties when not assigned as RNFA.

• Collaborate with surgeons and the multidisciplinary surgical team.

• Apply appropriate knowledge, skills, and judgment in the OR and RNFA role.
