In this role, you will lead and support a team of engineering technicians and manufacturing associates in the Robot Repair Area. You will be fundamental in building the team from the ground up - partnering with the engineering team to develop and implement the repair process instructions, hiring the team members, and defining the repair space. You will be responsible for leading day to day repair operations in our greater Boston facility, and traveling to support field repair operations as needed. You are responsible for maintaining the highest levels of safety, quality, productivity, attendance, and performance. The successful candidate for this position will be a self-managing, action-oriented individual focused on developing and supporting a high performing team while delivering business results.

Key job responsibilities

  • Lead day to day troubleshooting and repair operations
  • Partner with engineering to develop repair and troubleshooting process instructions, identify tooling needs, and influence SW and HW tooling design to support repair
  • Use technical experience to problem solve day to day and systemic issues
  • Support field repair operations as needed
  • Support, mentor, and motivate production teams.
  • Manage operations safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery expectations.
  • Manage staffing, grow and train / develop a team of high-performing associates and technicians, while promoting a culture of inclusion, innovation and performance.
  • Gather, trend and report process metrics/KPIs while promoting improvement initiatives from suppliers through factory.
  • Drive efficiency and quality through process-focused approaches, process improvement initiatives and root cause / corrective action exercises.
  • Build and manage team goals and critical metrics to ensure business success. Drive accountability with the team.
  • Conduct employee reviews, hiring, and all disciplinary functions for the reporting team.
