Job description

Are you the organized, fast-moving person who makes sure no customer ever waits and no lead ever slips through the cracks? Do you love being the one who keeps the sales process running so the sellers can sell? ACS is looking for a driven, detail-focused Sales Coordinator to own the front end of our Commercial sales process: delivering a fast, clean first response to every customer and keeping every lead, quote, and order moving to its next step.

Welcome to ACS: Commercial & Residential Flooring Specialists, where innovation meets a values-driven culture.

At ACS, we’re more than a flooring company. We’re a growing, collaborative community grounded in four core values: Say Yes, Own It, Do What You Say, and We Care. These principles shape how we work, solve problems, and support each other every day.

As the Sales Coordinator, you will own the front end of the ACS Commercial sales process, from lead intake and qualification through follow-ups, measures, quotes, and material ordering. You will keep the leads and measures dashboard current, serve as the first point of contact on our phones and shared inboxes, and track sold-job orders until material is confirmed at the warehouse.

Your work will directly impact speed to lead, customer experience, and sales team productivity; turning every inquiry into a clear next step and every sold job into an on-time order.

Your objectives may be similar to:

  • Owning lead intake, qualification, and routing so every customer receives a fast, professional first response.
  • Keeping the leads and measures dashboard accurate and current so the sales team always knows where every opportunity stands.
  • Driving follow-up on product selections, open quotes, and final payments so jobs move from interest to install without delay.
  • Placing and tracking material orders for sold jobs through confirmation at the servicing warehouse.
Essential Functions(Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.)

Lead Intake & Qualification

  • Work every new Home Depot lead: review, qualify, and route it to the right salesperson.
  • Check for duplicates before any outreach so a customer is never contacted twice through different paths.
  • Make first contact, gather project scope, and schedule flooring measures.
  • Follow up with clients on final product selections so quotes can be built.
  • Maintain the leads and measures dashboard daily so it always reflects current status.

Customer Communication

  • Answer the department phone line and triage the shared email inboxes.
  • Resolve routine questions on status, scheduling, and next steps directly; route product and technical questions to sales.
  • Log every customer contact in the CRM and the HD Service Center.

Order Entry & Material Tracking

  • Place material orders for sold jobs and confirm PO accuracy alongside the Procurement Specialist.
  • Track orders until material is confirmed at the servicing warehouse.
  • Flag delays, backorders, and shortages to sales right away.
  • Hand off ownership to the Install Coordinator once material is confirmed, ensuring a clean transition for scheduling and customer communication through install completion.

Sales Support

  • Prepare quotes from approved templates when requested by sales.
  • Follow up on open quotes and final payments to keep revenue moving.
  • Back up order entry and measure scheduling when other team members are out.

To excel in this role, you should possess the following

qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in inside sales support, customer service, order entry, or sales coordination.
  • Fast, organized, and comfortable juggling phones, email, and a CRM at high volume.
  • Strong follow-through, with a habit of making sure nothing sits without a next step.
  • Clear, friendly communicator by phone and email.
  • Working knowledge of Excel and CRM or database tools.
  • Experience with QuickBase or a similar CRM preferred.
  • Experience with Home Depot systems or a retail-installed sales program preferred.
  • Background in flooring, home improvement, building materials, or installed sales preferred.
