As Segment Marketing Director for Motion Control, you will serve as a member of the Motion Control SBU Leadership Team, working alongside the other functional Directors to shape and bring to life the mission, vision, and strategy for the business.
You will lead Segment Marketing for the global Motion Control business, serving customers across key Factory Automation industries including machine builders, consumer electronics, packaging, transportation, automotive, medical automation, and other high-growth applications. Our portfolio spans motion control technologies including pneumatic motion, electric linear motion, handling, and related automation solutions.
Through a deep understanding of our markets, customers, technologies, competition, and emerging trends, you will help determine where we play, how we win, and where we invest for future growth. You will lead and develop the Motion Control Segment Marketing team and work closely with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing Communications to turn strategy into action and deliver sustainable growth.
In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:- Develop and lead the segment marketing strategy for the global Motion Control business, identifying attractive industries, applications, technologies, and growth opportunities.
- Build a robust market intelligence capability, including market sizing, segmentation, customer insights, competitive analysis, and emerging market and technology trends.
- Lead the market and growth inputs into SBU strategic planning, helping inform priorities, investments, and resource allocation.
- Lead go-to-market strategies for new product launches and strategic growth programs, driving adoption and revenue growth.
- Guide positioning, value propositions, messaging, and pricing strategies to differentiate our portfolio and strengthen our market position.
- Partner with Product Management and Engineering to translate market needs, technology trends, and portfolio gaps into future product and solution opportunities.
- Partner with Sales and Marketing Communications on customer engagement, demand generation, sales enablement, and training strategies.
- Identify portfolio whitespace, adjacent market opportunities, and potential partnerships or acquisitions that support long-term growth.
- Establish KPIs and operating rhythms to measure the effectiveness of growth programs and commercialization efforts and adjust actions based on results.
- Lead, coach, and develop the Motion Control Segment Marketing team, building capabilities and a high-performing, collaborative culture.

For This Role, You Will Need:- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering, or a related field
- Relevant professional and leadership experience commensurate with the scope and level of the position
- Demonstrated experience developing market strategies and translating market and customer insights into growth opportunities
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time, domestically and internationally
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- MBA or other advanced degree
- 10+ years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
- Experience in factory automation, motion control, or related industrial technology markets
- Experience developing growth strategies and commercializing products or solutions in complex B2B markets
- Understanding of global sales channels, OEMs, distributors, and other routes to market within factory automation.
- Our compensation philosophy is simple: We pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during the annual merit review process. The total target comp range for this position is 168,418-240,643 plus bonus annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
