Job description

The Senior A&E Manager leads Centerline’s Distributed Antenna System (DAS) design practice — both indoor (iDAS) and outdoor (oDAS) — while managing the full lifecycle of Engineering projects, from project data and status reporting to site coordination, inspections, and financial tracking.

This is a remote position with 1–2 direct reports, requiring close collaboration with drafters/designers and cross-discipline engineering teams, along with regular communication with customers and key stakeholders to keep projects on time, on budget, and within specification.

What You Will Do:

  • Lead Centerline's DAS practice (iDAS/oDAS) as the primary technical lead for project design and execution.
  • Perform or oversee creation of construction drawings including civil, electrical, architectural, and mechanical sheets.
  • Manage project data, status calls, and reporting to stakeholders for real-time visibility into project progress.
  • Coordinate work with internal A&E teams and drafters/designers; coordinate site walks and on-site inspections with construction teams and subcontractors as requested by customers.
  • Review project scope of work with internal teams and subcontractors prior to project start, continuing to partner with the team throughout to resolve issues and expedite solutions.
  • Ensure all customer-required documentation is gathered, specifications are met, and submissions occur within contractual milestone dates.
  • Prepare and respond to proposals and change order requests; review, approve, and submit change orders tied to project budgets.
  • Complete project milestones according to contract terms and ensure timely billing.
  • Manage, mentor, and develop 1–2 direct reports, providing support throughout each project.
  • Handle customer and venue escalations in a timely, professional manner.
  • Communicate program status, progress, and risk daily to key stakeholders; proactively follow up on deliverables with virtual program teams.
  • Develop internal cost estimates and financial budgets for labor, subcontractors, materials, and equipment.

What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience designing iDAS, oDAS, data centers, or similar telecommunications infrastructure.
  • Background in architecture preferred
  • Ability to perform basic HVAC design preferred
  • Experience leading or mentoring a small team (1–2 direct reports) preferred.
  • Experience collaborating with interdisciplinary engineering and design teams.
  • Strong project management skills, with experience managing multiple clients/projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent leadership, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to develop and review construction drawings.
  • Comfortable working remotely while maintaining strong cross-functional collaboration.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites as needed for inspections and project reviews; some projects may require occasional overnight travel.
