Senior Applied AI Engineer

About the Role

Join an AI-powered engineering software company to build agentic workflows and AI integrations for engineering applications. You will shape the architecture of LLM-based systems, applying computer science, machine learning, and current AI techniques to practical products.

What You'll Do

• Design and build scalable AI agents, LLM workflows, and deep integrations.
• Evaluate and select approaches for agent orchestration, retrieval-augmented generation, and other AI capabilities.
• Develop and improve information processing, indexing, and search systems.
• Apply supervised and unsupervised optimization, model post-training, and evaluation methods to production use cases.

What We're Looking For

• Typically 2 or more years of relevant experience, with substantial depth in applied AI for senior-level work.
• Strong software engineering and computer science fundamentals, including experience with distributed systems and large-scale information processing.
• Experience with semantic and quantitative indexing and search, and supervised and unsupervised optimization approaches.
• AI, machine learning, or LLM research experience or education, including familiarity with fine-tuning or post-training specialized models.
• Experience with Python, PyTorch, agent SDKs, and evaluation or observability tools such as LangSmith, Braintrust, or Weights & Biases.
• A consistent work history, with fewer than four tenures under one year among the last four roles.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range: $220,000 to $320,000 USD. Visa sponsorship is not available.
