The Impact You Will Have in This Role
The Enterprise Data Governance team is advancing a multi-year program to strengthen metadata management, data quality, lineage, and governance capabilities across DTCC. The team partners with Data Stewards, Data Platforms, Application Development, Information Security, and Product Management to deliver scalable governance solutions aligned with enterprise data standards.
As a Senior Associate, Data Governance Engineering, you will help expand DTCC’s enterprise Collibra platform by developing workflows, automations, APIs, and integrations. This is a hands-on technical engineering role focused on enhancing metadata management, data cataloging, data lineage, data quality, and governance capabilities across the enterprise.
You will collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions, automate governance processes, and strengthen enterprise data management capabilities.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and enhance workflows, automations, and integrations within the Collibra platform.
- Develop APIs and technical solutions using Groovy, Python, UNIX scripting, and related technologies.
- Integrate Collibra with enterprise data platforms, applications, and data quality tools.
- Implement solutions supporting metadata management, data cataloging, data lineage, data quality, and data controls.
- Partner with Data Governance, Data Stewards, Data Engineering, Application Development, Information Security, and Product Management teams.
- Translate business and governance requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Troubleshoot platform, workflow, and integration issues across development and production environments.
- Maintain clear technical and business documentation for platform configurations, workflows, integrations, and support procedures.
- Participate in Agile delivery activities, including planning, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Contribute to the continued expansion and maturity of DTCC’s enterprise data governance program.
Qualifications
- Minimum of six years of related experience in metadata management, data governance, data cataloging, or data management.
- Minimum of three years of hands-on experience with Collibra or a comparable enterprise data governance platform.
- Minimum of three years of development or engineering experience using APIs, Groovy, Python, UNIX, or related technologies.
- Experience developing workflows, automations, integrations, and platform enhancements within a data governance solution.
Talent Needed for Success
- Strong understanding of metadata management, data cataloging, data lineage, data quality, and data governance principles.
- Experience translating governance requirements into scalable technical solutions and platform implementations.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools, platforms, and technologies.
- Strong documentation and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Proven ability to build strong cross-functional partnerships and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Ataccama or other enterprise data quality solutions.
- Experience with additional data governance, metadata management, or data lineage tools.
- Working knowledge of SQL and experience working with Snowflake.
- Experience with AWS cloud services.
- Familiarity with AI-driven metadata enrichment, automation, and data governance capabilities.
The salary range is indicative for roles at the same level within DTCC across all US locations.
