Job description
Gather, organize, maintain, analyze and prepare statistical, aggregate, graphical and other reports. This information is to be used for utilization studies, clinical benchmarking, peer review, quality and severity measurements, Joint Commission and CMS data requirements, patient relations; management controls Lean Initiatives and flow processing.
Midas database administration. - 35%
Administers and coordinates clinical/information systems (Midas+), including user definition and security roles.
Keeps EPIC/Midas interface dictionaries up to date. Maintain System Dictionaries to ensure consistency, accuracy, completeness, and suitability of module, shared, and Interface Dictionaries.
Provide first-line assistance for system users and coordinate communications internally and with Midas+ Solutions Support for hardware and software problem resolution.
Maintain reporting templates and SmarTrack Indicators.
Monitor interface data crossing into the Midas+ system to ensure consistent, accurate flow of patient information.
Facilitate ongoing training for new and existing Midas+ users on site, as well as determine needs for additional external training and coordinate such training
with Midas+ staff.
Ensure that a complete backup of the Midas+ system occurs daily. Schedule and coordinate software updates with Midas+ staff. Maintain all documentation of the Midas+ system including upgrade and enhancement documentation and ensure that appropriate documentation is made available to users of the system. Includes testing documentation. � Data Reporting. - 25%
Prepares statistical reports and integrates clinical, patient safety, and patient satisfaction outcomes for quality and clinical effectiveness reporting.
Designs, creates and troubleshoots complex reports in a variety of environments.
Generates reports using a variety of ODBC compliant reporting tools (Crystal Reports/Business Objects, SQL, Microsoft Access). � Autonomously meets with hospital departments to
define project requirements and goals. Designs solutions including data
collection, process control and reporting outcomes. Maintains and
supports the application and reporting solutions as the primary point of
contact for hospital departments. - 10% � Produces reports to assist in the review of performance improvement and Lean management initiatives throughout the organization. This includes developing provider-level quality reports using risk adjustment as appropriate. - 10% � Analyzes healthcare related statistical data and performs continuous data monitoring and reporting. Prepares data in easily interpreted displays that summarizes clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction. - 10% � Maintains knowledge of industry trends and reviews literature to understand key clinical and technical issues. - 5% � Mentors and trains other analysts. Supports the technical and process needs of other departments as required. - 5% | Review the physical demands and assign an overall average percentage of time this position performs these activities.
