Position Summary

The HR Systems Solutions Architect is responsible for supporting the design, configuration, and delivery of HR technology solutions, with a primary focus on Workday and related HR applications. This role partners with senior team members and business stakeholders to gather requirements, evaluate business needs, recommend solutions, and configure system enhancements that improve efficiency and user experience.

The ideal candidate has a solid understanding of Core HCM and experience in at least one HR functional area such as Payroll, Absence, Learning, Time Tracking, Talent Acquisition, or Vendor Management Systems (VNDLY). This position is highly consultative and requires the ability to understand business processes, think through end-to-end solutions, and collaborate effectively across teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with HR and business stakeholders to understand requirements and business objectives.
  • Analyze business processes and recommend system solutions aligned with organizational goals.
  • Document business and functional requirements and collaborate with senior architects on solution design.
  • Configure and maintain Workday and related HR technology solutions.
  • Assist in evaluating system impacts and testing changes prior to deployment.
  • Support troubleshooting efforts and resolution of system issues.
  • Participate in projects and enhancements as assigned.
  • Consider end-to-end business processes and downstream impacts when developing solutions.
  • Collaborate with integration teams and other technology partners as needed.
  • Develop expertise in at least one functional area while maintaining a strong understanding of Core HCM.
  • Incorporate feedback from senior architects to refine recommendations and configurations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting HR systems, preferably Workday.
  • Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
  • Experience configuring and supporting HR applications.
  • Knowledge of Core HCM and at least one HR functional area.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Workday modules such as Payroll, Absence, Learning, Time Tracking, Recruiting, or Talent Management.
  • Experience with VNDLY or contingent workforce management solutions.
  • Familiarity with HR system integrations and reporting.
  • Workday certification(s).
