We encourage interested candidates to apply promptly to ensure consideration.The Prince George’s County Office of Human Resources Management (OHRM) is currently seeking qualified applicants to fill a Senior Human Resources Analyst (Human Resources Analyst 3G) position, Grade G24, in the People Operations Division.
About the Position
This is senior level professional, analytical and administrative position serving a variety of human resources programs, on a rotational basis. Incumbent will focus on areas such as classification and compensation, recruitment and examination, employee and labor relations, training and career development, background and compliance, and quality assurance, as well as other human resources functions with the Office of Human Resources Management (OHRM). The person selected may lead and/or provide technical guidance to subordinate positions in conjunction with specified projects and will serve to fill operational gaps within the agency as needed.

Examples of Work
- Collaborate with both external and internal stakeholders to exchange information, coordinate assignments, finalize assignments, and resolve complex matters
- Collaborate with upper management, supervisors, and employees in other County departments to obtain information or inform departments about personnel policies and procedures
- Conduct research, obtain and provide guidance, obtain and provide information upon request
- Participate in recruitment events, new employee training, and other assigned training
- Complete, analyze and validate personnel actions
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Candidates must meet all minimum qualifications listed below to be eligible for additional consideration:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in the Human Resources/Personnel Management, Organizational Development, Business/Public Management, Psychology, or closely related field
- Two (2) year of professional level human resources experience

Preferred Qualifications
Highly qualified candidates may also demonstrate the preferred qualifications listed below:
- Experience performing a broad range of HR functions, including recruitment and selection, classification and compensation, employee relations, performance management, and benefits administration.
- Experience providing technical guidance, consultation, and recommendations to employees, supervisors, managers, and HR liaisons regarding human resources policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Experience interpreting, applying, and communicating human resources policies, procedures, collective bargaining agreements, and applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Experience researching complex human resources issues, analyzing personnel data, identifying trends, and developing written reports and recommendations to support management decisions.
- Experience developing and delivering training and presentations for employees and leadership.
