Stickley is seeking an experienced Senior Human Resources Manager to provide strategic and hands-on HR leadership across multiple locations and diverse business environments. You'll partner with leaders to develop talent, strengthen culture, support workforce needs, and build an employee experience that enables both people and the business to thrive.

Position Summary

This role is responsible for developing, administering, and continuously improving programs and practices that support talent acquisition, total compensation, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, compliance, performance management, and employee engagement.

The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to leadership while ensuring that HR programs align with organizational objectives, applicable laws, and best practices.

Essential Responsibilities

Benefits Administration & Employee Programs

  • Lead the continuous improvement of employee benefit programs, including health and welfare, retirement, leave, wellness, and related programs.
  • Collaborate with benefit providers, brokers, consultants, and vendors to ensure effective program delivery and service.
  • Analyze utilization, costs, trends, and employee feedback to develop recommendations that balance employee value and organizational objectives.
  • Support employee communication and education efforts to promote understanding and utilization of available programs.

Compliance & Risk Management

  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, including but not limited to wage and hour requirements, leave laws, benefits regulations, workplace policies, and recordkeeping obligations.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments and implement necessary changes to policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Conduct internal reviews, audits, and assessments to identify and mitigate organizational risk.
  • Maintain accurate employment records and ensure appropriate documentation practices.
  • Partner with internal and external resources, including legal counsel when appropriate, to address compliance-related matters.

Human Resources Leadership & Employee Experience

  • Partner with leadership to develop and implement human resources strategies that support business objectives and workforce needs.
  • Provide guidance and consultation to managers and employees on human resources policies, practices, performance management, employee relations, and workplace matters.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and productive work environment that reflects the company's values and culture.
  • Lead initiatives that support employee engagement, retention, development, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Ensure the consistent application of policies, procedures, and employment practices across the organization.

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Oversee full-cycle recruitment activities, including workforce planning, sourcing, interviewing, candidate selection, and offer administration.
  • Develop and maintain effective recruitment strategies to attract, hire, and retain qualified talent.
  • Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs and provide guidance throughout the recruitment process.
  • Manage onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a positive and compliant employee experience from hire through integration.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve recruiting, onboarding, and retention processes.

HR Operations & Process Improvement

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, controls, and documentation.
  • Partner closely with Payroll, Finance, Operations, and leadership teams to ensure effective administration of HR programs.
  • Utilize data and analytics to support workforce planning, decision-making, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage HR systems, reporting, and employee data while maintaining confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiencies and implement process improvements that enhance service delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive human resources experience with increasing levels of responsibility.
  • Demonstrated experience in talent acquisition, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and HR compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations, including wage and hour laws, leave requirements, anti-discrimination laws, employee benefits compliance, and workplace practices.
  • Experience managing benefit programs, vendor relationships, and HR-related projects.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism, discretion, and sound judgment.
  • Professional certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR is preferred.
