This role leads the strategy, development, and execution of patient-facing print and digital communications designed to support retention and improve care quality with a focus on new patient onboarding. This position is critical to communicating the 2027 CMS rule change on SSBCI benefit access to new SNP members and ensuring they take action to receive plan benefits. Failure to comply will negatively impact this key growth segment.
The role is responsible for managing complex outreach initiatives from initial strategy through implementation and evaluation. This includes identifying target audiences, communication objectives, key messages, timing, frequency, patient calls to action, and measures of success. The specialist ensures that communications are clear, relevant, accessible, and aligned with patient needs, health literacy standards, brand requirements, and applicable regulatory guidance.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.
PrimaryResponsibilities
- Develop and manage patient email strategies that support retention, preventive care, chronic condition management, care gap closure, and other care quality priorities, including the above rule change
- Coordinate communication plans across multiple stakeholders, programs, markets, and patient touchpoints to provide a consistent and connected patient experience
- Facilitate strategic planning discussions to establish objectives, audience priorities, roles, approval requirements, dependencies, timelines, and success measures
- Partner with clinical and operational subject matter experts to translate complex health information into patient-friendly content with clear and appropriate actions
- Manage the development, review, revision, approval, scheduling, and distribution of email communications
- Ensure content meets legal, compliance, clinical, brand, accessibility, health literacy, and communication standards
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on email design, audience selection, campaign setup, testing, deployment, and reporting
- Monitor campaign performance using measures such as delivery, engagement, response, utilization, and patient action
- Evaluate results, identify opportunities for improvement, and recommend changes to future communication strategies
- Maintain communication templates, content standards, documentation, and established review processes
- Identify risks, resolve issues, and communicate decisions or needed actions to stakeholders and leadership

Qualifications
- Proven solid strategic thinking, project leadership, writing, and stakeholder-management skills
- Proven to work independently, manage competing priorities, solve moderately complex communication challenges, and guide others through decisions
Preferred Qualification:
- Experience in healthcare marketing, patient communications, marketing campaign management, regulated communications, or care quality initiatives

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $72,800 - $130,000 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
