Senior Product Strategy Manager, US
Job description
About Nothing
Nothing exists to make tech feel exciting again.
We’re building a different kind of technology company, one that puts design, emotion, and human creativity at the heart of everything we do. From the way our products look and feel to how we communicate and show up in culture, we believe technology should make you feel something.Founded in London in 2020, we’ve grown from idea to global challenger in just a few years. Backed by GV (Google Ventures), EQT Ventures, and C Ventures, and investors like Tony Fadell (iPod), Casey Neistat, and Kevin Lin (Twitch), we’re now sold in 40+ markets with millions of users worldwide.
About the Role
At Nothing, we’re on a mission to make tech fun again and inspire human creativity.
We’re looking for a Product Strategy Manager, US to bring the voice of the US consumer directly into how we build products. You’ll be our eyes and ears in one of the world’s most important consumer technology markets—spotting shifts in consumer behaviour, emerging needs, competitive moves, and opportunities before they become obvious.
This isn’t a traditional market research role. You’ll turn what you see in the market into a point of view: what should we build, improve, prioritise, or explore next?
Working closely with our global Product, Design, Engineering, Marketing and Commercial teams, you’ll make sure US consumer needs and market realities help shape our product strategy and roadmap.
What You’ll Do
- Develop a deep understanding of US consumers—their behaviours, unmet needs, purchase drivers, frustrations, and expectations of technology products.
- Stay close to the market through customer feedback, online communities, retail and e-commerce channels, industry research, competitor activity, and emerging cultural and technology trends.
- Turn fragmented market signals into clear insights and actionable recommendations for global product teams.
- Identify new product opportunities, use cases, features, and areas where our existing products can be better.
- Analyse the competitive landscape and understand not just what competitors are doing, but why it matters and where the opportunity is for Nothing.
- Bring a strong US market perspective into product planning, roadmap discussions, and early-stage product development.
- Partner with Product, Design, Engineering, Marketing and Commercial teams globally to influence decisions through evidence, consumer understanding, and strong product judgement.
- Explore emerging technologies and changing consumer behaviours to identify where the market could go next—not just where it is today.
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of experience across product strategy, product management, consumer insights, market intelligence, user research, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the US consumer technology and consumer electronics market.
- Strong product sense—you can look beyond the data and form a clear point of view on what consumers will value.
- Experience turning consumer, market, and competitive insights into product recommendations or roadmap decisions.
- Comfortable combining qualitative and quantitative information to find the signal in the noise.
- Strong communicator who can simplify complex findings and influence global, cross-functional teams.
- Curious, commercially minded, and comfortable challenging assumptions.
- Able to independently explore an ambiguous question, build a perspective, and recommend what we should do next.
Even Better If You Have
- Experience with TWS earbuds, headphones, speakers, smart audio, or other audio products.
- Experience with wearables, connected devices, smartphones, or smart hardware.
- Experience working for a consumer technology, consumer electronics, or hardware brand.
- Strong familiarity with US retail, DTC, e-commerce, technology communities, and consumer buying behaviour.
- Experience working across US and global product teams.
You’ll Thrive Here If You
- Are genuinely fascinated by people—what they buy, how they use technology, and why their behaviour changes.
- Naturally ask “why?” and “what does this mean for the product?”
- Have opinions, but are willing to change them when the evidence says otherwise.
- Enjoy getting close to consumers rather than relying only on reports and dashboards.
- Can connect consumer behaviour, technology, culture, competition, and business into one product story.
- Get excited about finding an opportunity before everyone else sees it.
- Are comfortable with ambiguity and prefer creating the answer to waiting for one.

What began as a simple, yet profound, observation about the state of modern technology has blossomed into one of the most talked-about consumer electronics brands of the decade. The journey of Nothing started in late 2020, born from the vision of Carl Pei, who had already made a significant mark on the industry as the co-founder of OnePlus. Feeling that the tech world had become stagnant, passionless, and dominated by monotonous product iterations, Pei embarked on a new venture. He officially announced Nothing in January 2021, fueled by a $7 million seed round from a star-studded list of investors including iPod inventor Tony Fadell, Reddit CEO Steve Huffman, and YouTuber Casey Neistat. The mission was clear and audacious: to remove the barriers between people and technology and to make tech fun again. From its London headquarters, Nothing set out to challenge the giants. A key early move was partnering with the acclaimed Swedish design house, Teenage Engineering, to craft a unique design aesthetic that would become the brand's signature. This collaboration was pivotal, leading to the company's transparent design language, which literally and figuratively aimed to bring users closer to their technology. The first manifestation of this philosophy was the Ear (1) wireless earbuds, launched in July 2021. Their distinctive transparent case and stems offered a glimpse into the intricate engineering within, creating a product that was as much a statement piece as a functional device. This was followed by the highly anticipated Phone (1) in 2022, which introduced the innovative 'Glyph Interface' – a system of LED lights on the phone's rear that offered a new, less intrusive way to interact with notifications. Having sold millions of products and secured hundreds of millions in funding from major players like Google Ventures and Highland Europe, Nothing continues its narrative, driven by community collaboration and a relentless desire to inject artistry and joy back into technology.
