ABOUT THIS ROLE
As a Senior Software Engineer II on LVT's Agentic Platform team, you will build the Go services that power the AI agents behind our intelligent site platform. You will own the design, delivery, and operation of production-grade microservices, APIs, and orchestration layers that let agents reason over live site data and take action at scale. Working as an individual contributor within a dedicated engineering team, you will set the standard for code quality, resolve complex production issues, and raise the bar for peers through thoughtful code reviews and technical mentorship.
LVT is a flexible-first company, and this role is onsite at our American Fork, UT headquarters.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

- Build and evolve the infrastructure that orchestrates agent workflows, including tool integration, state management, and event-driven processing of site data.
- Optimize service architecture, API latency, concurrency, and database query performance to support rapidly expanding platform scale.
- Partner with Product Management, QA, and DevOps to turn feature requirements into clear technical specifications, accurate estimates, and timely releases.
- Raise code quality through rigorous unit and integration testing, constructive code reviews, and thorough technical documentation.
- Diagnose and resolve complex production defects through root-cause analysis, protecting uptime and data integrity.
- Mentor fellow engineers with practical technical guidance and feedback that strengthens the whole team.
- Improve CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, observability, and developer tooling to increase delivery speed and reliability.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE
- Technical Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Proven Backend Expertise: 5+ years of professional backend software engineering experience shipping production-level microservices and APIs.

2+ years of hands-on experience building and maintaining backend services in Go, with a solid grasp of concurrency, idiomatic design, and performance tuning. - Agentic & AI Platform Exposure: Experience building or integrating LLM-powered or agent-based systems, such as tool calling, workflow orchestration, or AI-enabled APIs, or a demonstrated drive to grow quickly in this space.
- API Development: Hands-on experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs (OpenAPI), gRPC, and/or GraphQL.
- Modern Infrastructure: Familiarity with containerized workflows using Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools, plus cloud-native and event-driven architecture patterns.
- Database Proficiency: Practical experience with relational databases (SQL) and schema design optimization.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical skills and a track record of solving complex technical problems amid evolving requirements.
- Quality & Detail Oriented: A strong commitment to clean code, thorough testing, and maintainable software.
