As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $192000 - $278000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery roadmap, milestones, and technical execution for system simplification and data quality initiatives, transitioning legacy architectures toward standardized, modern data platforms.
  • Collaborate with domain architects and software engineering teams to decompose complex architectural goals into clear engineering workstreams, identifying opportunities to consolidate redundant data models, pipelines, and tooling.
  • Leverage technical judgment to drive project delivery and guide technical proposals, utilizing strong quantitative analysis to translate findings into actionable plans and build cross-functional consensus.
  • Drive organizational transformation to establish and scale data governance, developing and implementing critical policies and procedures to ensure data quality and consistency across infrastructure systems.
  • Partner with executive stakeholders across multiple organizations to drive alignment, lead program reviews, and establish a robust cadence for decision-making, prioritization, and resource management.

Minimum

qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in networking infrastructure, service provider or enterprise networks, network management and control plane, Software Defined Networking (SDN).
  • Experience in data quality validation, metadata management or schema governance.

Preferred

qualifications

  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience managing complex cross-functional or cross-team projects and advanced proficiency in program tracking, risk mitigation, and execution frameworks.
  • Proven track record in legacy system decommissioning, data pipeline refactoring, eliminating technical debt, or consolidating enterprise data systems.
  • Working knowledge of infrastructure planning, network topologies, capacity planning, or telemetry systems.
