These are just a few of the numbers that give you a sense of the scale of the exciting problems you will find every day working in Simple Storage Service (S3). You will partner with technical leaders and with other teams in S3 Storage to deliver these capabilities at S3 scale.

A day in the life
As an SDM, your day starts with your team — a quick stand-up to unblock engineers and keep projects moving. You'll spend time in design reviews, 1:1s, and syncs with product and partner teams to align on priorities. Expect to balance hands-on technical discussions with coaching and career conversations. Some days you'll dig into operational issues or help shape long-term strategy. Beyond the day-to-day, you might lead hiring drives, drive org-wide initiatives, or mentor engineers outside your team. No two days look the same — and that variety is what makes the role exciting.
