Senior Full Stack Software Engineer (Remote)

Location: 100% Remote - EST work schedule

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent W2 position

Compensation: $140,000 - $150,000k

Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

About the Position

Our client, a mission-driven group, is investing in a major transformation of their digital commerce platform and is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to help design and build the next generation of customer-facing digital experiences.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain full-stack applications, APIs, and cloud-based solutions using JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Design scalable integrations across commerce, payment, CRM, and third-party platforms.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-performing customer-facing products.
• Troubleshoot production issues, improve system reliability, and promote engineering best practices.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools to enhance productivity and software quality.

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Must have expertise in full-stack development experience with JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Experience building and designing RESTful APIs.
• Experience developing cloud-based applications in AWS.
• Understanding of software design patterns, architecture, and modern development practices.
• Experience supporting or building commerce, e-commerce, subscription, payment, or transaction-based platforms.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with React, Next.js, or similar modern web frameworks.
• Experience integrating third-party platforms and APIs.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience working in customer-facing digital product environments.
• Interest in AI-assisted software development tools (Claude, GitHub Copilot, etc.).
• Passion for mission-driven organizations, arts, culture, education, or nonprofit initiatives.
