Job description

At Amazon, we're working to be the most customer-centric company on earth — and that starts with finding the right people. As a Sourcing Recruiter, you'll be on the front lines of talent discovery, identifying and engaging top engineering talent in some of the most competitive and niche markets in the industry.

In this role, you'll build and execute sourcing strategies, develop candidate pipelines, and partner closely with Recruiting Business Partners and hiring managers to understand what great talent looks like for each search. You'll own the top of the funnel — from market research and candidate identification to outreach and initial engagement — and play a critical role in delivering qualified, diverse slates against tight timelines.

We're looking for someone who is resourceful, curious, and relentless about finding people who don't show up in a keyword search. You should be comfortable using data to refine your approach, experimenting with new sourcing channels, and building relationships with passive candidates who aren't actively looking. Strong communication skills, a bias for action, and the ability to manage multiple searches simultaneously are essential.

Key job responsibilities

As a Sourcing Recruiter, you will:

Partner with recruiters and hiring teams to build effective sourcing strategies for Network Development Engineer roles, leveraging baseline networking knowledge to identify and engage passive candidates across technical talent markets and sourcing channels.

Proactively source passive networking engineers, assess initial fit and interest for NDE roles, and build strong pipelines for Seattle and Arlington locations.

Develop and execute search strategies using Boolean, LinkedIn Recruiter, GitHub, and other tools to identify candidates with experience in routing protocols, network architecture, and infrastructure systems.

Craft personalized, compelling outreach that resonates with passive networking engineers and reflects Amazon's employer brand.

Contribute market intelligence on networking talent availability and competitive landscape to inform recruiter and hiring manager strategy.

Recommend sourcing strategies that contribute to pipeline health and quality, testing new techniques and channels for hard-to-fill technical openings.

Document sourcing plans with clear deliverables, timelines, and metrics to track pipeline development and candidate engagement effectiveness.

Conduct initial candidate outreach and interest assessments to qualify engagement-level fit before passing candidates to recruiters.

Contribute to sourcing experiments and pilot programs aimed at cracking new passive talent channels for hard-to-reach networking engineers.
