Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. Analyst, FP&A based in the United States.

This role is a key finance partner supporting business performance, planning, and strategic decision-making across multiple operating divisions.

You will analyze financial performance, cash flow, working capital, budgets, forecasts, and business trends to provide actionable insights to leadership.

The position combines hands-on financial analysis with reporting, modeling, business partnering, and management dashboard development.

You will work closely with Finance, Operations, Sales, and other functional leaders to understand business drivers and translate complex data into clear recommendations.

A major focus will be developing and executing an AI roadmap to improve efficiency across finance and accounting activities.

You will also contribute to investor relations, board materials, quarterly reforecasting, and recurring business reviews.

This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical and commercially minded finance professional seeking meaningful exposure to strategic FP&A in a high-growth environment.

Accountabilities

  • Prepare and ensure the accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting related to working capital and cash flow for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and lead investor relations reporting routines and provide accurate, timely financial insights.
  • Use accounting systems and knowledge of the business model to support accurate consolidated and business-unit-level financial reporting.
  • Develop financial models and analytical tools that support strategic decisions related to cash flow, working capital, growth, and operational performance.
  • Own and execute the finance and accounting AI roadmap, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, automation, and analytical capabilities.
  • Partner with Operations, Sales, Finance, and divisional leadership to understand business models, pricing, costs, spending patterns, and key performance drivers.
  • Support quarterly reforecasting activities and assist with the development of presentations and management materials.
  • Prepare monthly business-unit reporting packages and participate in recurring business reviews covering areas such as California, expansion markets, hemp, and distribution.
  • Deliver performance reporting and variance analysis against budgets, forecasts, and business objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with divisional and corporate leadership and serve as a trusted financial business partner.
  • Provide ad-hoc financial, quantitative, operational, and modeling analysis to support business decisions.
  • Provide data collection, extraction, and analytical support to the Director of FP&A and broader finance leadership.
  • Assist with preparation of quarterly board materials and other executive-level financial presentations.
  • Evaluate alternative approaches and recommend efficient solutions based on financial and operational data.
  • Use financial insights to make recommendations and support informed strategic and operational decisions.
  • Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or another quantitative discipline.
    • 2+ years of experience in FP&A, Accounting, Investment Banking, Private Equity, or a related analytical finance environment.
    • Demonstrated experience with cash flow and working capital planning and analysis, preferably within a corporate FP&A function.
    • Experience in Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) is preferred, while manufacturing finance experience is strongly desirable.
    • Strong financial acumen, including management reporting, variance analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling.
    • Strong understanding of financial statements and financial data, particularly cash flow and working capital.
    • Experience with financial reporting systems, accounting platforms, ERP solutions, or FP&A planning systems; Sage Intacct experience is a plus.
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong working knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
    • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with Sales, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, and other business functions.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a questioning mindset and willingness to investigate business drivers and identify better solutions.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and quality.
    • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment and adapting to changing business needs.
    • Must reside in the Midwest region of the United States.
    • Benefits

      • Annual salary range of $110,000–$120,000 USD.
      • Compensation considers factors including relevant experience, skills, geographic location, and internal pay equity.
      • Remote work opportunity for candidates residing in the Midwest.
      • Opportunity to work across multiple business divisions and gain broad exposure to financial operations.
      • Significant involvement in strategic planning, forecasting, investor relations, and executive reporting.
      • Opportunity to lead the implementation of an AI roadmap across finance and accounting.
      • Exposure to senior leadership and cross-functional business partners.
      • Opportunity to contribute to business transformation and process improvement in a high-growth environment.
