This is a "hybrid" role. The selected candidate will work in the Arlington, VA office (Tuesdays-Thursdays). SUMMARYAre you a results-driven marketer looking for a new challenge? We are seeking a dynamic Senior Marketing Associate to join our team to help us bring to life the multifaceted range of products, services, and events NACD proudly offers. This position will play a key role in planning, executing, and optimizing integrated marketing campaigns to increase engagement and drive revenue for NACD events (in-person and virtual), education products, and member services. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop marketing strategies that increase awareness, meet or exceed event attendance goals, and maximize the impact of our educational offerings and programs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develops, plans and executes strategic marketing campaigns for NACD events, education products and services, including defining target audience segments, crafting key messaging, and reporting on campaign performance.
  • Composes compelling copy and provides creative vision for planned marketing initiatives with a focus on generating quality leads and driving conversions through website, e-mail, direct mail, print advertising, social media, and other digital marketing tactics.
  • Proactively identifies and recommends opportunities to enhance the membership value, elevate the NACD brand, and increase member engagement among our events and variety of products and services.
  • Assesses tracking and reporting of marketing campaign results to determine challenges and successes.
  • Identifies trends and solutions to adjust marketing plans and deliverables as necessary.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally with other NACD teams, including content, design, and events teams, to ensure a cohesive and integrated marketing approach.
  • Responsible for developing project timelines, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and within budget.
  • Composes and manages content updates for events and product-related web pages.
  • Manages outside vendors on marketing deliverables, including the creative direction, proof approvals, and shipping of on-site materials and signage.
  • Travels to events as needed and interacts with NACD members, external partners, and NACD Chapter teams.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to support ongoing product marketing team initiatives.

EDUCATION/QUALIFICATIONSA bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or business and at least three years of experience in marketing or communications is required. Must have experience with creative design agencies, whether in-house or third-party, and a firm understanding of the conceptual and creative phase of a marketing campaign. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and possess basic knowledge of content management systems and HTML. Working knowledge of Google Analytics for tracking and reporting campaign results is preferred. Must exhibit a passion for excellence that helps to elevate the NACD brand, and the ability to meet or exceed goals, metrics, and objectives and to raise the standard of excellence, both among colleagues and among our members. Exceptional written and oral communication skills; sharp attention to detail; exceptional creativity; strong leadership combined with a collaborative work ethic; excellent project management skills and experience with quality control; exemplary interpersonal skills and problem-solving capabilities; strategic-thinking ability; and exceptional organizational skills is required. Must possess insight into segment, target, and position services and product value, combined with a passion to create demand and drive revenue. Experience with corporate governance and experience communicating with corporate boardroom directors and C-level executives is highly desirable. The salary/hourly range for this position is $70,000-$78,000 plus bonus potential. Compensation is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. ­
