You will partner closely with business leaders and IT teams to establish standards, processes, and controls that ensure data is accurate, consistent, and reliable. This role also provides the opportunity to support ERP transformations, M&A integrations, and the continued evolution of our enterprise data governance program.

Why Join ProAmpac?

This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful enterprise-wide impact while working with teams across a growing global organization.

You will:

  • Influence critical data domains that support operations, finance, reporting, and analytics.
  • Help shape and mature enterprise master data governance practices.
  • Collaborate across business and technology teams to solve complex data challenges.
  • Play a key role in ERP implementations, system migrations, and M&A integrations.
  • Develop scalable standards and processes that drive long-term business value.
  • Mentor developing data stewards and strengthen organizational data capabilities.
  • Work remotely while partnering with teams throughout a global manufacturing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end lifecycle of assigned master data domains, including creation, enrichment, maintenance, and retirement.
  • Establish and maintain data standards, definitions, naming conventions, and business rules with business data owners.
  • Monitor data quality through KPIs and dashboards, identify root causes, and lead corrective actions.
  • Lead data cleansing, deduplication, and harmonization initiatives supporting enterprise projects, acquisitions, and system implementations.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for master data management tools, processes, and workflows.
  • Partner with IT to improve automation, validation controls, and approval processes.
  • Maintain business glossary, data dictionary, and data lineage documentation.
  • Support audit, regulatory, and compliance requirements, including SOX and GDPR.
  • Mentor junior data stewards and educate stakeholders on data governance best practices.
  • Participate in enterprise data governance activities and prioritize opportunities to improve data quality and business outcomes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in master data management, data stewardship, data governance, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, Oracle, or Microsoft Dynamics.
  • Experience with MDM, governance, or data quality platforms such as SAP MDG, Informatica MDM, Stibo STEP, Reltio, Profisee, or Collibra.
  • Strong SQL and Excel skills with experience in data analysis, profiling, and validation.
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and data quality dimensions, including accuracy, completeness, consistency, and timeliness.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading data migration, conversion, or ERP transformation initiatives.
  • Experience supporting M&A data integration and harmonization.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or similar business intelligence tools.
  • Experience with Python, ETL tools, workflow automation, or scripting.
  • CDMP certification or familiarity with DAMA-DMBOK.
  • Experience in manufacturing, packaging, supply chain, or other complex operational environments.

Who You Are

You understand that effective master data management goes beyond maintaining clean records. You bring a governance mindset, strong business partnership skills, and the discipline to create standards that drive consistency and trust across the organization.

You can work comfortably in the details while also understanding how data impacts enterprise processes, reporting, compliance, and decision-making. You know how to identify issues, bring stakeholders together, and implement sustainable solutions that improve business outcomes.
